I just checked my Linkedin deal. Wowee Zowee. Never have I seen so many muey importante hombres. Holy Mackerel! Gee Whiz! Everybody on those friends you might want pages is either the CEO or President of something. President and fluffer at PUREGENIUS Movies, CEO of the Timmy Tinklenuts Foundation for the advancement of multi-talented savants. Wow. Arent there any regular people on Linkedin? or for that matter Twitter or Facebook, you know like you and me. Jeez!
Wouldnt you like to investigate some of these companies that these people are president or CEO of? There she is, shes Meryl Stench (Adviser, vice-president, chief chemist and CEO of the Schlomo Snerd Foundation for the advancement of socialist drivel.)

I’m a gosh-darn rascal that way, s’truth.
Not sure what you’re looking at on LinkedIn but I’ve found it to be a great tool with a lot of us ‘peons’ on there staying in touch. Found my current position through a contact on there that I’d previously worked with and got back in touch through it. Think it’s a great tool and folks have self monitored, for the most part, to keep it professional and not become another Facebook. Of course that’s my opinion, but then yours is an opinion as well.

Someone needs better colleagues. My contacts all have their real-life paying jobs listed. If all your contacts are nothingburgers, whose fault is that?
I personally know of hundreds of VPs and Directors of nothing at major corporations. Literally people with such titles with zero direct reports or perhaps maybe 1 or 2. Hundreds. Not kidding.
