When Barack Obama moves two miles from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to 2446 Belmont Road in Washington’s Kalorama neighborhood, he will live half a mile from 2340 S Street, where Woodrow Wilson spent his three post-presidential years.

Wilson’s embittering foreign-policy failure was the Senate’s rejection of the US participation in the embodiment of Wilsonian aspirations, the League of Nations. Obama leaves office serene because “almost every country on Earth sees America as stronger and more respected today than they did eight years ago.”

Two seemingly unimpressed nations are Russia, which is dismembering a European nation (Ukraine), and China, which is shredding international law by turning the world’s most important waterway, the South China Sea, into militarized Chinese territory.

Soon, foreign policy will be conducted by a man who, although in 2010 he said WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange deserves the death penalty, now seems to trust Assange on the subject of Russian hacking more than he trusts the consensus of the nation’s $53 billion civilian intelligence institutions. Time passes and, we are told, brings progress.

This is Will's last-hour-before-the-Armistice shot over the bow at Trump, effectively lumping Trump in with every bad thing Obama has done - for a man who has yet to take office and issue one foreign policy directive. Do you think that 'fits'? Will is a bitter loser elite who has completely turned dark now that his stock in conservatism has been shown for the elitist tripe it is.

Obama is the most evil person to set foot in our White House. The destruction he is leaving behind - massive debt, dysfunctional Obamacare, and global instability - is pretty much what I expected to be his goals, but the disappointment was finding no one both willing and able to stop his harmful agenda. If you actually read every word and attached the words to context, you would realize that George just wrote an apologist piece in favor of Obama. The “good stuff” is OK to attribute to him but the “bad stuff” ain’t his fault....

Perhaps the Current Occupant will not leave the world “in flames”, but he has stacked a lot of kindling at strategic points, applied accelerants, and has been trying to strike various sparks all over.

Fortunately most of his efforts have not come to full fruition, and the matches he tries to toss usually are blown out before they land in a vulnerable place. But those that have struck fire have made sometimes spectacular bursts before being largely smothered by others with a much greater sense of self-preservation.

Once he is out of office he can do whatever he wants. Clintons are still chasing some of their funds but Trump is a big obstacle. Lets hope Trump and Co. start asking questions.
