I’m going to be consistent with my longtime position on hate crimes. I don’t think there should be such a thing as a “hate crime.” If you commit a crime against someone, it’s the action you should be punished for, not for “hating” them or whatever other nefarious motive.
That said, the fact that the Chicago Police Department chose moments ago to charge Jordan Hill, Tesfaye Cooper, Brittany Covington and Tanishia Covington with a hate crime in the video attack that everyone has now seen at least shows that they’re no longer pretending the attack was neither racially nor politically motivated.
I’m clicking on every single one of these links (even the horrible Canada free press) so that it’s registered traffic on this story until the mainstream media takes it seriously.

“During the same discussion, Democrat strategist and former press secretary for Bernie Sanders Symone Sanders said the attack was “not a hate crime” if the suspects were motivated by “hate of Donald Trump.”
At the news conference, what was the guy in the blue shirt doing with the bizarre movement of his neck?
How much do you want to bet that the “hate” part of the charge is about the “disabled” part of the guy, and not the “white” part?

I too have a problem with "Hate Crimes". Is the opposite called a Love Crime?
They are being charged for a hate crime on a mentally disabled person.
The police chief Johnson needs to be fired.

Also my thought.
Democrats honestly can't determine that 8 years of constant, nationally broadcast hatred of Republicans and racist hatred of whites might possibly lead to hate crimes targeting whites. Tell me, again, they all shouldn't be euthanized.
I also completely oppose the idea of “hate crimes.” That is nothing more nor less than “thought crimes” straight out of Orwell’s 1984.
