No. Yes, that makes a difference. Oh, and though she was 18, her parents were VERY involved. I spent more time with them than with her!

I don’t think a 37 year old asking out a 16 year old who has shown no interest in him as “flirtation”.

Obviously this barista didn’t care for it, otherwise no one would even have known about it... because if he passed her a note asking her out, if she had interest, she would not have gotten the management or the police involved... likewise had she considered it harmless flirtation she would have laughed it off and tossed the note in the garbage.

With that said, I don’t think she is the first, or last teenage girl that has been approached by an older man swinging for the fences in hopes of living out his hs cheerleader fantasy he couldn’t manage in high school because he was too shy or ugly or awkward.

I have a hard time believing these events fall into the flirtation category. Perhaps not illegal by the laws of whatever state they are in, but I have a hard time believing this was a case of a barista flirting for a time and customer reading it wrong... if it had been I doubt anyone but the barista would even know about the note.

There are no legal sanctions involved here, the cops told him to scram, but I am sure they were called on behest of the management.... passing on the fact he’s banned.

You haven’t put any time into reading up what the anti-ageist degenerates have been pushing on the web, have you?

This current topic is a camel’s nose under the tent maneuver.

If you want to get up to speed and have a clue what’s going on around you, other than the memes and slogans they’re using to push their agenda, do some study on ‘intergenerational intimacy’.

Werner, who calls himself a “scientist without a degree in science,”

The next time a State Trooper pulls him over for some infraction, he should tell the Man that he is a "driver without a license" and then get back to us on what happened.

Strongly suspect it’s more than just leaving a note asking her out that got him banned.

You go ahead and assume that anyone that doesn’t buy into your alarmism is uninformed. That will get you all kinds of traction.

As I said, if she was legal she has the right to decline or accept his advances. That is why they have those laws. If he doesn’t take no for an answer, then there is a problem. Banning him from Starbucks may or may not have been appropriate. Your own personal biases do not entitle you to inappropriately label others. Where are you going to draw the line? Do people have to be, say, within 2 years of each other? 5? 10? What’s the cut-off point, and who are you to decide?
