Are you with that crowd that is still sitting on the fence figuring if you're gonna buy an AR? Or, maybe you decided that you wanted to invest in one but not sure of which brand? Or, you did get one but still not sure if you got the right AR15?
You can go cheap to high end. Obviously, the good cheap are Ruger, M&P and others. High End would probably be Daniel Defense or Cobalt Kinetics. Or, you can let this guy from Wrangler Star Youtube explain his reasoning for going with a DDM4V7, yeh its a Daniel Defense brand. You can hear what this fella had to say about his AR choice here. Please chime in and let us know if you're an AR owner and why/how did you choose the AR that you have.
Ruger ar556 never did me wrong yet.
He references a lot of credence he gives to NuttinFancy about ARs.....IMO, that’s a tell to me.

Built a couple with Delton parts.
But for Big Bang, drag out the M1A, or the fav the M1 Garand.
Anderson AM-15m not the RF85 variety, still have to oil this one.

No.
But I’ve always wanted an M14, as it was my service rifle.
So I am considering a Springfield M1A. Problem is there are more than one models out there which makes it difficult. All I want is one that resembles what I had in the Army. Just a basic military wood stock grade weapon.
There’s no such thing as a “wrong” AR15
It is very reliable and accurate (at least out to 200 yards, which is as far as I can see with open sights). I use composite Magpul magazines in it, and It has never jammed or failed to feed.
I have no experience with "high-end" ARs, but I definitely got my money's worth with my "cheap" High Standard.
For my next one, I'm thinking about building my own starting with an 80% lower - just for the fun and the experience.
Wyndom HBC for around $900 is hard to beat.

I’m thinking about getting an M1. If you could only keep one of yours, would it be the M1A or the Garland.

I'm in Massachusetts...so the "wrong" AR-15 means it's illegal.
All depends on whether you plan on going into combat or not.
Just get the standard. Then your all set looks just like nam era weapon.

Once had a chance to buy a couple M1s with select fire option for $200 per. Always figured it wasn’t worth prison time, but woulda, shoulda, coulda...
If I could only keep one it would be the Garand. I’ve got a lifetime supply of brass, and as long as bullets and primers and powder can be found it’s the one. A tack driver. Not a .22 BB gun either.
He definitely bought the wrong one. He should give me that one and go buy the right one ASAP.
