The electoral college is a safety system against government takeover by larger states like Californika and New York. We are not a democracy like the demonicrats want us to be but a representative republic. Without the electoral college small states would be steam rolled every election by big states. It amazes me how many ignorant people want to get rid of this protection. It seems they never went to school, I learned it in the 5th grade.

I’m pretty sure most electors are bound to vote for the popular vote winner in their state. Why should they go against the wishes of the voters of their state?

The people yelling loudest about national popular vote don’t seem to care about state popular vote.

But I would support a year long course on the Federalist Papers, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Sooner or later the idiots who can vote will realize that the Constitution exists to restrain government, and the BOR to protect us, the individual Citizens.

It was never intended to apply to the entire world, or to non-citizens.
