NBC/Survey Monkey. As of October 23, 2016.

It is no surprise that Democrats in the U.S. Congress will oppose Donald Trump but the most important resistance to fulfilling the president-elect's agenda is beginning to emerge from Republicans on Capitol Hill.

The party held onto control of the Senate at the Nov. 8 election but by only a thin margin, putting powerful swing votes in just a few hands.

When the web page comes up it features a graph from October 23. The story is clearly based on that graph. After 30 seconds that graph is replaced by a different graphic. Fake story line. Fake thesis.

When politicians disagree with each other it isn't always pro or anti Trump... or pro or anti Obama. Sometimes the politicians are motivated by their promises to voters. Sometimes by their own understanding of the facts of the situation. Sometimes by lobbyist and donor interests.

My understanding is that the Democrat Party now holds fewer offices at the national and state levels than at any time since 1929.

But, apparently, Republicans in the Senate can make a wise move by siding with the Democrats.

We’re not likely to see anything from the main MSM outfits that isn’t pure manufactured bovine excrement level propaganda for the duration.

Personally, I’m taking a 180 degree off perspective on anything said or claimed by any of them at this time.

I like the label “fake news”. This could be the end to, or at least a limiter on all the MSM propaganda. Maybe they will never stop lying, but if people refer to it as fake news, maybe some of the mindless readers will get the hint they have been reading lies.

The usual RINO culprits:

John McCain,
Lindsy Graham
Lisa Murkowski,
Susan Collins,
Jeff Flake

The only RINO on this list that I accept is Collins from Maine. The rest of the RINOs are from conservative states
and should be primaried. Flake will be sent packing in 2018,

I cannot understand how South Carolinians keep reelecting Graham.

It’s genius.

Just call it what it is, and hoist them on their own petard.

Why McCain & Graham keep being re-elected? A number of reasons order & weighting are situation dependent. (Talking about primary elections!)

1. Incumbency - habit, name recognition & = powerful stuff!,
2. Divided opposition,
3. Politically incompetent opposition,
4. Cross-over voting.

A Democrat would never oppose his Party. He would be ruined forever. Not so with Republicans. They are honored, acclaimed, admired. What the heck?

You forgot one important item.
Confiscate the Clinton Foundation funds.
Should be worth a few billion to the treasury.

In watching how Trump conducted his campaign and paying close attention to how he’s behaved since the election, I have reason to believe (and hope) that Trump will turn out to be a much more competent adversary to the Gang of Eight and their cohorts than any of his predecessors. Trump is a believer and absolutely committed to the promises he’s made to the American people and I strongly suspect that, should any of the clowns on that list oppose what he was elected to do, he will destroy them - and not in the manner that the Clintons would have used. The remainder will stand around staring at one another wondering, “What the hell just happened...?”

When was the last time we had a president who ran not for his own glorification, but for the sake of the country - someone who neither needed, nor really wanted the job?
I think the “leadership” of the Republican Party is about to find out that they are dealing with something they don’t understand and for which they are utterly unprepared.

This list is a good start. But we should not end there.
In addition to just cutting money, we should evaluate

what can State and Local government do better than the Feds?

What can private sector do better than government?

Eliminate the ATF. Eliminate Fed taxes on Alcohol, tobacco, firearms. Make it a state and local responsibility with taxes at the state level (if they so choose).

Move some ATF agents to FBI. Others will go voluntarily to state and local law enforcement... or to the private sector.

Get FBI out of bank robbery. That is a state and local issue. FBI should focus on terrorism, cyber-crime, political corruption.

Get the Feds out of transportation. The interstate highway system is done. Mission Accomplished. Now the need is maintenance and spurs and connectors between the highways. Let the states collect all airport, gas, oil, tire and other transportation taxes.

The main function of Transportation projects is to provide bribes to congress to vote for omnibus budgets they would otherwise vote against as line items.

The Clintons sent $1.8 Billion to Qatar shortly before the election according to the Russians. Snopes says not true. I have to admit that I trust the Russians more than the couple skanky commies lying on Snopes

The mistake of the establishment is that they only talked with others in the establishment. The only way for Trump to not become like them is to have communication with us who are not in the beltway; not in DC-NY-LA-SanJose.

So how do we accomplish this?
