Commentary: The unbearable smugness of the press (falling on sword!)

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that, with a few exceptions, we were all tacitly or explicitly #WithHer, which has led to a certain anguish in the face of Donald Trump’s victory. More than that and more importantly, we also missed the story, after having spent months mocking the people who had a better sense of what was going on.

I guess the guy wants to keep his WH press credentials. Anyway, it's an honest assessment of how we've been feeling all along about the crooked media.

In this day and age of social media, what do we really need the Press for? Really all they add is they put their spin on what you see. We don’t need them for getting the information, we can now get that ourselves.

I was quite inspired by this comment on the messageboard. It was better than the article itself:

“I voted for Trump. By your standards I am misogynist. By your standards I am a racist. By your standards I am a homophobic. By your standards I am an Islamophobic.

And yet everything I believe was considered not only normal, but correct, for the last 100+ years up until about year 2000 or so. It is not my beliefs that are wrong, but your standards.

I have been happily married for almost two decades. My wife and daughter, and all women I know are protected and treated with the utmost respect. I treat all folks, regardless of skin color friendly, decently and with respect- no matter how broken a great majority of their culture is. Until proven otherwise folks are treated well. Doesn’t matter who they like to sleep with or who they worship. I will help my fellow man, through deed or giving. But you wouldn’t leave us alone. Us being whites, males, christians. You had to keep shoving your agenda down our throats. You wouldn’t let us live in peace. You called us racists. You called us sexists. You shoved your morality down our throats day after day. Literally, threatening our families, our jobs and our freedoms.

Trump is just the beginning. You pushed too hard. We will push back and hard and continue to push. You have seen nothing yet. We have become a nation of soft, perverted, dependent pansies and you expect us to not only be okay with it, but celebrate it. We will not. You called the tune and now you must dance to it. We are here to take back our government. Our schools- even if we have to pull all our kids out and homeschool them so the system collapses. Our churches. Our neighborhoods. Our country. We are done running. We will fight your ideas. We will fight with our pocketbooks. We will fight with our prayers. We will fight with sweat and callouses. And while I pray it does not come, if it must, we will give our blood to fight. We are done running. We don’t want to harm you. Unless harming you means obeying immigration laws or using the correct bathroom or calling it a civil union and letting you hold your beliefs and letting us hold ours without your constant threats, intimidation and hate that you spew at us. This is not our peak, we are just beginning. We are ready for the long haul and sacrifice it will take. It was folks like us who built this country and we will rebuild it.”

The polls presented by the media and press were paid for to be "push polls"
It was the media and press basicly creating the news, not reporting the news.
The same is being done now with the 'street protests' being shown over the last three nights,
who are the same "OCCUPY ------(?) " and the "Black Lives Matter" chronic complainers.
Will the media ever learn ? They are still creating the news !

Trump is going to change the way “they” do things. He will add alt media to those in press media...alt media being Brietbart, WND, Infowars, maybe newsmax, etc etc etc.

Trump’s rule number one for the media will be : I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Wow, Will Rahn seems to have taken an honest look in the mirror and provided a fair assessment...Before reading this article, I'd have deemed this impossible.
No one likes to admit that they are wrong - particularly our cloistered Media and Academia ‘betters’. I don't know what to make of Mr. Rahn’s article. It is written very well, but just very unexpected. Either Mr. Rahn is one in a thousand - and doesn't represent his Media minions - or he just wrote what he figured the unwashed country bumpkins wanted to hear. Sorry to offer that cynical comment, but I admit that my prejudice against the Mainstream Media has created some fairly cast in concrete opinions. I'd like to break the concrete and change my opinions.

Eliminate any contact, business, dealings with the above for a happier and better life.

Fantastic article, but I have little faith his colleagues will wake up. They will dig their heals in deeper. This guy will probably be campaigning for the Democrat in 4 years too.
