We’ll cross that kind of bridge when we get there. Donald himself will doubtless have ideas about whom to succeed him.

I think Trump will be hands-on but he should look to Pence for guidance with the ins and outs of govt. and how those in both parties will try try to screw things up for him.

Pence is no infallible figure. He kinked when he got an assault on the religious freedom act that Indiana had passed. Both he and Donald are well to look to God for help. I hope that is the spirit and philosophy that will be “cooking” (pun to poke at the Democrats) in Washington with these folks for the next few years to come.

As long as the team approach is good, I don’t care who does what. There seems to be general agreement on what needs to be done. So let’s get at it.

Pence or Trump, we may finally, at long last, be rid of the Clintons.

I disagree. I will point out, though, that Pence and Kellyanne Conway are totally shining examples of the type of people Trump will surround himself with, and I think they are both masterful choices. Top notch.

I envision Trump using Pence as a sort of prime minister, to run the cabinet and details of government, while Trump acts as Chief Executive. Given the complexity of affairs, this could be a very effective combination.

You don’t have to control every federal employee.

You just have to control their pay computer.

Then, treat them like they treat Veterans.

“Oh, I’m sorry. We have a new Federal Pay Chart. It has your new pay formula.

Let’s run you through the new chart!

According to the chart, you get 60% of your pay.

Why do we have this chart? I don’t know. It’s just in our rule book.

Next!”

I don’t think Pence will be anything more than a placeholder. Kind of like GHW Bush was.

maybe turn your brain off from this for a while. I think it needs a rest, overworking. I mean this in a kind way, some times we all over think and come up with thoughts that are a bit wacky.

Do you honestly think Trump a hard working business man would put himself through this whole campaign and all the abuse he took, just to be a side player? That is more like obama, with Jarrett.

Sure Trump asked for guidance in his victory speech, but Trump will be very hands on and wants all the details so he cans help get best plans for his platform moving forward.

Trump knows how to build things. In order to win the presidency, he built an impossibly excellent team. This team that worked with him to establish position papers and plans to set the nation on a better path will be a real fine start for his administration.

I doubt that Trump knows yet what his activities will be as President. He told us his goal, couldn't be clearer. It's to make America great again. His love of family and his ego will not let him aspire to be anything but the most successful, admired President in US history.

I see something else here. It's in the Top 10 of the greatest love stories of all time. Trump has won for Melania what will be the role of the most admired woman in the world. His love of family moved him to do the unimaginable so they could inherit a better world.

Why don't more people get it? What we're living through is more incredible than Cleopatra and Mark Anthony, Romeo and Juliet or any of those fairy tales we read about the power of determination and devotion to change the world. Why don't more people appreciate how wonderful what we're witnessing is?

JMHO

Weren’t you the guy who had his post pulled last night - whining that Trump was losing?

It seems that a lot of seasoning is needed to flavor your opinions...

This is a common relationship in running anything, be it a business or whatever. A good leadership team always has a good number 2 guy to implement the day to day stuff. Anecdotally speaking, I share the same relationship with my own boss - I contribute, implement and get the day to day operations done. He has the vision. I understand my role and implement it very well, that’s why we are such a good team.

Pence was a perfect pick for Trump. I believe he will be a great VP! I know Trump will pick great cabinet members as well!

“I really think Mike Pence will be the one running the country.”

Wrong, wrong, wrong! I’M the one that will REALLY be running the country from now one. BOTH Trump AND Pence are my front-men. (Pssst. Don’t tell anyone else: it’s one of the best kept secrets on the Internet!!!)

Nope.
CO and XO. He’ll share the XO duties with close Trump intimates.
He’ll be a help with the Congress of course. But as an agent, not a principal.

The VP is a superfluity for a President.
