As of 2008 we are now at 1000 posts for Mainestategop, the blog of those of us who are refugees of New England Socialism and the voice of the New Hampshire based New England Alliance for Liberty and Free Markets. We've come a long way I think and I am just ecstatic.

Eight years of fighting liberalism and saving America from liberal failure. I love it.

Thank you to all for your continued support.

Now, with that said I want to discuss political issues concerning elections in New England. There's not much to be said, we are voting straight GOP on all the candidates in the legislative elections, Gubernatorial elections and the elections for house and senate. In Vermont and Massachusetts as always, the Dems are in control. Not much to do there.

But I want to expound on a couple of things and on the voter measures throughout New England. First I want to talk about how important it is to reelect Kelley Ayotte for the Senate and prevent Maggie Hassan AKA 'Taxin' Hassan from usurping her seat in the senate.

For those not familiar, Maggie Hassan is probably one of the worst governors we've ever had in New Hampshire. She was elected mainly by southern New Hampshire Democratic bums, mostly transplants from Massachusetts, New York and Maine who ran out of other people's money and now want to suck the last trough in the northeast dry.

Maggie took the pledge like all elected people in New Hampshire are required, which is a promise that they will not allow there to be income or sales taxes in New Hampshire. Were the only state that doesn't have it thanks in part to free staters and as a result we are the most business friendly state in America.

But like all Democrats, Maggie broke her promise and tried to get around it. In addition attempted to pass a whopping eleven billion dollar (YES! YOU HEARD IT RIGHT FOLKS!! 11 BILLION DOLLARS)In spending and tried to raise registration fees, pass a cigarette tax and a whole host of other fees and taxes!

In addition, 'Taxin' Hassan supports Obamacare, rather than creating jobs which is what she and all Democrats promise, she tried to go after people and target those who weren't registered in Obamacare by punishing them even though they're too poor.

Maggie also was involved in a dispute with the DeMoulas family owned Market Basket Grocery chain, rather than let the free market fix the problem and let the family figure it out themselves, Maggie took it upon herself to intervene and butt in and it almost caused the market chain to fall apart and put over 9000 jobs at risk.

Also, Maggie is weak on so many other issues, lets see, she appointed a drug czar Jack Wozmak who was supposed to fight the opioid crisis in New Hampshire but instead he screwed around while spending millions of our money for nothing, there's her support for the Iranian nuclear deal, her limpness on terrorism ETC. Maggie is also an opponent of Homeschools and charter schools.

In fact the NEA endorsed her and put billions into her campaign just to force our kids into failing broken schools full of bullies, gangs, drugs and failure. The day my sons go to a public school is the day after my funeral. Make no mistake! Don't even try to take my children away if you know what's good for you!

But one of the most outrageous things she's done is to create a new government position which was supposed to make government more efficient and not only that, made the position a secret. Maggie refused to disclose details on what the position would do and denied over three public records requests. The whole position was kept under tabs.

That is why I want to emphasize that Kelly Ayote is the candidate to vote for!! Now, she's not perfect and she recently pulled her support for Trump over remarks he made about women back over a decade ago but we shouldn't hold that against her. I wrote to her recently asking that she reconsider, if you want to write to her, be friendly and courteous, remember she's the better alternative to a governor who is a marxist shill. We can't let the Democrats take the Senate and Implement their liberal agenda over us.

BALLOT MEASURES

Now... I want to discuss Ballot measures. There's not Really a whole lot of them this year. Massachusetts and Maine are the only ones who have them since they're communist and because they are in the most dire straits because of said communism.

MAINE

QUESTION 1:Legalizes, regulates, and taxes marijuana as an agricultural product

STANCE: NEUTRAL

Personally I have issues with Marijuana. I'm barely for medicinal  marijuana but the New England Alliance for Liberty and Free Markets is that states should be the ones to decide if they want to have a go at it.

If Passed Maine will Join Washington state as a place where pot is legal. Since the libs want more money for their bum voters and since Maine is high and dry, no doubt it'll pass

QUESTION 2:Establishes a 3 percent tax on household income over $200,000

STANCE: AGAINST

Again Taxation land liberals want to waste more money. This will serve no benefit but to drive out more business. VOTE NO! Doesn't matter if you earn less than that. If this passes it will lead to thousands more jobs lost!

QUESTION 3:Requires specific background checks for gun sales and transfers

STANCE AGAINST

At it again! Despite decades of high crime and violence liberals demand MORE AND MORE GUN LAWS! None of the gun laws we have now stopped the Aurora shooting, the Boston Bombing, Columbine ETC. They never will! This will only make it more difficult for a law abiding citizen to own a firearm. Criminals will still have guns no matter what!

QUESTION 4:Increases minimum wage to $12 per hour by 2020

STANCE: AGAINST

Tourism is the only thing Maine has going for it. No industry, no business sector just tourism for those stupid enough or ignorant enough to pay up their noses. These places can barely pay what they already have to under Democraps! If this passes kiss tourism goodbye! We'll end up like Detroit!

Question 5:Establishes statewide ranked-choice voting

STANCE: AGAINST

The election process we have is good enough! Liberals are just angry that Lepaige is governor instead of Mama Baldacci's wicked sons! If this passes well be the only state with Ranked choice voting and it will help put more Democrats and RINOs into the senate and house!

QUESTION 6: Issues $100 million in bonds for transportation projects

STANCE: AGAINST

Maine can't pay for the bonds it already has! Don't make it worse people! Get the money by stop throwing it away on welfare bums!

MASSACHUSETTS

QUESTION 1:allow the Gaming Commission to issue an additional slots license.

STANCE: NEUTRAL

Gambling is a gamble in it of itself. There's no telling what could happen. Might benefit, might not. Regardless there's also the potential to bring in riff raff You'd normally find in Vegas. The NEALFM believes that this is a states issue and like with marijuana takes a neutral stance

QUESTION 2: EXPAND CHARTER SCHOOL FUNDING

STANCE: SUPPORT

The liberals and the union bums have been up in arms over this one folks...They do not want this bill to go through because all that money we throw away on failing public schools (and believe me Massachusetts is the pits when it comes to public education) and on teacher salaries for teachers who don't give a darn about little Billy's illiteracy will instead go to excellent charter schools that have small class sizes, that engage and challenge students and provide a safer learning enviornment.

I just love how NEA and the socialists whine whine whine that this bill will drain public school funding and hurt kids. WRONG! This will actually lead to more funding for public schools and lead to more accountability!

The issue is not only the diversion of state funds that are scarce from lazy bum teachers to working schools but also the fact that they can't indoctrinate kids to become communists and "world citizens" who will believe everything pop culture and the government tells them.

QUESTION 3: prohibit certain methods of farm animal containment.

STANCE: NEUTRAL

This ballot has Animal rights hippie written all over it. Still, certain forms of animal containment are harmful to meat products. The NEALFM is officially neutral

QUESTION 4: LEGALIZE AND REGULATE RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA

STANCE: NEUTRAL

Again, we take a neutral stance and believe the states should work it over. Me personally, I am  surprised this hasn't been done yet. I doubt it will but maybe it will. The libs want more money for their socialism but I feel that it will likely not go through. Maine On the other hand is more likely to approve.

 ELSEWHERE

I guess I want to bring up issues outside of the Northeastern US. The California Ballot measures as always have more of the same, I have a lot of people outside New England many in California who read my blog and I want to remind you, please get out and vote. Its your responsibility as an American.

California, they have measures to legalize marijuana, restrict ammunition sales, restrict the death penalty and raise taxes that got to be knocked down. Perhaps the most absurd, a law requiring porn actors to wear condoms.

But four ballots that I want to bring to attention, prop 53 will require voter approval before the state could issue more than $2 billion in public infrastructure bonds that would require an increase in taxes or fees for repayment. This would effectively put a bit in the mouth of the government and needs support.

Prop 59 is also one that requires attention. The Democrats want to overturn Citizens United which would in turn curtail freedom of speech and dissent against Democrats. The Citizens united decision allows us to criticize elected politicians during elections it was made in light of attacks on a civil rights group citizens united that made a movie exposing Hillary Clinton and the Clinton commie machine went after them and threatened them with excessive fines and jail time just for practicing the first amendment.

Liberals incorrectly claim that this makes corporations people. RUBBISH! It protects free speech and Prop 59 must be defeated!!

Then there's Prop 54, this would require all legislative bills to be published online 72 hours before it can be voted on. This would really hold our government accountable so yes lets vote it in!

Finally there's prop 67 which would ban plastic carry out bags, this would effectively gouge the poor and make carrying groceries more difficult. It wont help the environment and it will just make things worse for people especially the working poor. This prop needs to be voted down pronto!

 NEBRASKA

In Nebraska there is a proposition to abolish the death penalty. The state is coming under attack by Democrats and could become another Iowa or worse become like Illinois if things don't improve quickly!

This ballot measure would basically comfort violent criminals and would be offenders. Abolishing the death penalty has never reduced crime, the opposite is true. Please if you vote in Nebraska please oppose this bill.

 WASHINGTON

In Washington state where again, recreational pot is legal, there is an initiative on the ballot, initiative 1491 which essentially is draconian and orwelian. It would create a list of people who are "extreme risks" and thereby ban them from owning firearms. This bill essentially is an enemies list that would not target criminals but instead target activists and dissidents against the government.

All it takes is the word of any cop, doctor, politician or liberal hack and your second amendment rights are gone. Please oppose this if you live in Washington

OHIO

One more ballot measure I want to bring up is in Ohio. They have this great ballot measure called the Ethics first amendment. This would essentially restrain and put a needed bridle on government. If passed it could be up in other states!

The bill requires that the pay and compensation of the general assembly not be more than the annual median household income in Ohio. Also it prohibits former members of the general assembly from taking lobbying positions within two years of leaving office.

This would be a breath of fresh clean air for Ohio citizens and hold our government accountable. We need a similar measure here in new England. Please vote for this bill if you live in Ohio

That's all there is. Thank you again for your support, please vote this year, please vote responsibly! Together we can make america great!
