Liberals, Tories, same old story. That expression has never been more meaningful than it is today
Earlier this week, Senator Nancy Greene Raine introduced Bill S-228 in the Senate. Known as the Child Health Protection Act, the bill calls for amendments to the Food and Drug Act that would prohibit the marketing of food and drinks directly to children. If Greene Raine gets her way, there will be no more marketing to children. No McDonalds Happy Meals with toys. No more Tony the Tiger or other cartoon characters emblazed on cereal boxes. And companies such as McDonalds and Wendys will no longer be able to sponsor youth sports teams with their logos emblazed on uniforms. Thats no biggie; thats what the taxpayers are for.
Former Olympic skier. It’s all been downhill from there...
Cheers,
Jim
