Colin Kaepernick vs. Vince Lombardi
US Defense Watch ^ | August 30, 2016 | Ray Starmann

Posted on 08/30/2016 9:18:27 PM PDT by pboyington

The season hasn’t even started yet and the NFL is already running a 40 yard dash into trouble.

Colin Kaepernick, the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, with electrified hair by Chia Pet and a body so tattooed that it resembles an East LA viaduct, sat through the National Anthem during last week’s exhibition game versus the Green Bay Packers.

Kaepernick’s reasons for disrespecting his nation and the veterans who gave their lives and limbs for his freedom was your typical idiotic leftist rant, with a touch of Black Panther thrown in for bad measure.

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

According to Kaepernick, the US is oppressing people of color here and abroad. We’re the bad guys, not ISIS, North Korea or Iran. In Kaepernick’s world, white men are virtually slave owners, who subjugate black men on a daily basis; like the white people, John and Jed York and Denise DeBartolo York who own the San Francisco 49ers and who oppress Mr. Kaepernick by paying him $14 million dollars a year.

Kaepernick stated that he will continue to sit through the National Anthem at every game. Apparently, his decision to be an unpatriotic scumbag and an uninformed idiot came after long consultation with his family and his Muslim girlfriend.

As a vet, and an American, I find Kaepernick’s behavior to be disgraceful, sickening and the act of a spoiled brat who has no clue about his country, its history or its current role in the world at large.

Colin Kaepernick is just another overpaid, out of control jerk in the NFL. The NFL has a discipline problem and has had one for at least ten years. Prima Donna players get away with limited or no punishments from Roger Goodell and the league, even though they beat their girlfriends, commit assorted felonies and misdemeanors, deflate balls, and now refuse to stand for the National Anthem. Idiot players run around the field with hippie hair flowing out from their helmets, looking like Jamaican pot dealers and members of 1970’s Euro rock bands. Players go on violent rants on social media, TV and in their locker rooms. Other players turn a touchdown pass completion into an episode of Dancing with the Stars before the referee can wrestle the ball away from them.

In the NFL, the inmates are indeed running the asylum.

A jerk like Kaepernick is really a Sign of the Times.

The NFL has become just like American society and American schools: spoiled, petty, undisciplined, out of control; and what is a growing trend among the left, unpatriotic. Coaches like Pete Carroll use politically correct, soft and kind methods to try and motivate a whole generation of un-coachable players. A coach is no longer a drill sergeant, butt kicker, but the player’s buddy, their best friend, someone to speak kindly to them as they scream at the top of their lungs to a terrified female reporter on the sidelines.

Niners coach Chip Kelly told reporters on Saturday that Kaepernick’s decision not to stand during the National Anthem is “his right as a citizen” and said “it’s not my right to tell him not to do something.”

And today, Michigan head coach and former Niners head coach, Jim Harbaugh, apologized for stating yesterday that he didn’t respect the motivation behind Kaepernick’s action. Just one question, Coach Harbaugh, why are you apologizing to Colin Kaepernick?

Give me a break…

Gone are the days of Ditka, Papa Bear Halas, Tom Landry, Don Shula, Bud Grant, Hank Stram and of course, Vince Lombardi.

Kaepernick would have lasted approximately three seconds under Lombardi. Lombardi would have called Kaepernick into his office and then bounced him off a couple wall lockers like a used super ball. That would have been followed by Kaepernick’s trip down to the local barber shop for a high and tight and a shave. Somewhere in the process, Kaepernick would have had his tattoos removed.

Lombardi would have told Kaepernick that if he wanted to; one, live to see another day, and two ever make it past the practice team again, he would stand every Sunday for the National Anthem.

Kaepernick would have learned about real world Lombardi discipline and “oppression” at the hands of one of the greatest coaches in the history of the NFL.

But, Lombardi is gone, although his genius and vision lives in perpetuity on the old, subdued color NFL films, narrated by a man nearly as gigantic as Lombardi, Mr. John Facenda.

The NFL desperately needs leaders of men like Vince Lombardi. The NFL has talented coaches, bright people, but they lack the ability to lead men. They are too afraid of the inmates, the press, the fans and the lawyers.

No doubt, Kaepernick will continue to snub his nose at America every Sunday as he sits on the bench during the National Anthem while he texts someone from the Muslim Brotherhood or Black Lives Matter or some other radical, anarchist, anti-American group.

No doubt, coaches and other players will continue to make excuses for Colin Kaepernick and coddle him. He’s just a misunderstood Millennial who needs a safe space.

What he needs is some old fashioned wall to wall counseling.

I would love to be black in America with my mind. I’d go ALL the way to the top. I’d set a world record it would be so easy.

The next game should have a children’s choir on the football field standing less than 10 yards away from Unhappy Kappy.
Watch the little children school Mr. Quarterback on what the flag and pledge mean to them.

Just to bring the point home more easily, the choir should be fully integrated with black, white, asian and hispanic children. Oh, include a few Muslim kids too to really make him take notice. The news people will eat it up like a hot bowl of Chicken Stew on a cold winter night!

May Colon Kaputnick end up scrubbing stadium toilets at minimum wage money for a year or so.

Perhaps that would give him a new perspective on his current position. Or not, then let it be!

Kap’s now turned muslim so of course he hates America and every white person in it. The NFL should show him the door as should the Niners. Of course they won’t because of the color of his skin.

But if one of his white team mates should call him the ‘N’-word in the locker room, that white guy will find himself off the team and out of the NFL in a heartbeat.

No first amendment right to freedom of speech for whitey.

Actually, it was Nappy Kappy himself who got in trouble or calling Bears DE Lamarr Houston the n-word a couple of years ago. Must've been his White DNA acting up.

Yeah but will Kaepernick call himself Muhammad Ali or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar?

He’s supposedly a mulatto, not a black. White birth mother at least gave him to adoption instead of abortion.

That beak on him makes me think his sperm donor was a black arab, as it really looks Egyptian.

I think he’s chapped because he’ll be the 3rd string QB this season. If the team plays him and he gets a major injury, they would have to pay him ~$14mil or more next year.

I know all about his white half. That makes the point even more glaring.

These days of ridiculous, PC racist nonsense, his parentage means nothing at all to the race hustlers... It’s ALL about skin COLOR, nothing else matters to them. He could have two lilly white birth parents and it still wouldn’t matter. He gets special PC treatment if his skin passes the blackness test.

PC nonsense says white people are racists just because of the whiteness of their skin. PC racism cares little to nothing about genetics unless they work in their favor.

The NFL and the 49ers have what may turn out to be late stage or terminal left wing Colin Cancer!

Not to be confused with colon cancer...

Colin Kaepernick’s Clumsy Caper

Written by Laurie Higgins

Colin Kaepernick, NFL quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, has generated a dust-up over his refusal to stand during the “Star Spangled Banner.” Kaepernick said “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”
While some “progressives” are defending his stunt, arguing that a verse of the National Anthem that is never sung—anywhere—has a racist message, Kaepernick didn’t mention the National Anthem, he referred to the flag.
For those who don’t know, Colin Kaepernick was adopted by a white family after his destitute, 19-year-old, white birth mother gave him up. His black biological father abandoned him and his mother before his birth. Kaepernick excelled at basketball, baseball, and football in high school and in addition to a football scholarship, he was offered multiple scholarships to play collegiate baseball. He has made millions playing for the NFL since 2011.
So, some questions for Kaepernick:
When you say the country, what exactly do you mean? The government? Every branch of government? Every department? Every elected official? The Constitution? Laws? Which laws? The police? Every police department? Every police officer? Teachers in government schools?
Does your assessment of the unworthiness of America include the sacrifices of soldiers who have given their lives to defend and protect people all around the world? Does it include men like my father who served and suffered during WWII? Does it include missionaries and medical personnel like Jim Elliot and Natalie Bullock who sacrificed the comforts you enjoy and sometimes their lives because they love people of color?
Could it be that the “country” that oppresses people of color is primarily constituted by Democrats?
• After all, it was Democrats who supported Jim Crow laws in the South.
• It was only 23 percent of Democrats in Congress who supported the passage of the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which abolished slavery, while 100 percent of Republicans supported it.
• It was Democrats who opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
• It’s Democrats who have been promoting policies and laws that have incentivized fatherless families, which has long been known to be the central cause of poverty and anti-social behavior.
• It was Democrats who through their demand that homoerotic unions be legally recognized as “marriages” have now institutionalized fatherless (and motherless) families.
• It’s Democrats who for decades have controlled virtually every major American city where schools are failing people of color and where crime destroys lives.
• It’s Democrats like Barack Obama who, while sending their children to elite, expensive private schools, deny school vouchers for inner city families of color whose children are instead forced into underperforming and dangerous schools. And it’s Democrats who protect teachers unions that enable terrible teachers to keep their jobs.
• It’s Democrats who support Planned Parenthood, the baby-killing machine that profits from the deaths of far more babies of color than colorless babies.
One of the many problems with public schools today is the imbalanced and dishonest way they address the entwined issues of race and American history. Leftist “agents of change” (also known comically as teachers) present a lopsided view of American history, emphasizing the injustices that mar America’s history while de-emphasizing America’s social and political progress and acts of justice and compassion that ignite the imaginations of oppressed peoples around the world. America undeniably has a troubling history with regard to race, but that’s not the whole story.
America also has a remarkable history of racial and ethnic integration and an admirable history of self-correction. Is there a country on the planet that has as successfully integrated as many diverse racial, ethnic, and religious groups as America? Is it possible to walk through a mall or a public school in America without seeing interracial couples or interracial, inter-ethnic groups of teenagers chatting and laughing together? Can you enter a church without seeing families that are multiracial by choice through adoption?
This is a country whose founding principles and documents have made possible the kind of social progress that enabled a biracial baby to be adopted by a white family and go on to earn millions. This is the country Kaepernick sees as “oppressive” and others see as a social and political marvel.
The American flag represents the greatest nation in history. It’s a country that countless people have died to defend or died in the attempt to arrive at its shores. While Kaepernick continues to publicly demonstrate his disappointment with our imperfect union, perhaps he could tell us which country’s flag he finds worthy of respect.

Stupid writer. Kapernick is not a starter and will probably be cut before the first game. The rest is drivel.

What’s all these people defending his right to sit out the National Anthem? This is PC stupidity at work again. If you can’t stand up to your own national anthem you can go love in another country like Cuba or North Korea. Then we will see this POS crawl back and beg for mercy to be let back in to this country...

Tom Landry had Saturday church services at the field when they were playing on a Sunday. He didn’t like missing services. I met one of the pastors he used to use, baptist preacher by the name of Dr. William Pennell. He told me what type of a man Landry was and the respect he had for him.

Vince Lombardi is spoken about in this piece, go up to Don Hutson Field and watch the kids carry the helmets of their heroes whilst the players ride the kids bikes from the Lambeau Field locker room to the practice field...that is the NFL under the spirit of Lombardi. It is called the Green Bay Packers.
