Not in Philadelphia.
Wheres the beef? was a very popular and memorable advertising theme for Wendys three decades ago. It highlighted the amount of beef in its burgers versus the competition.
As I struggled to listen to some of the speeches last night at the Democrat National Convention, I asked a similar question: Wheres the substance?
There was none.
Interesting how none of the Clinton acolytes found even a moment to mention her crowning glory—the Clinton foundation. I mean, it’s real, right, and not just a scummy money raising operation from Lyin’ Crooked Hillary?
Has it really been 30 years since Clara asked that question?
Wow.
Yes, all the good works that are supposedly being done should be highlighted not hidden...
What else has she done...Well, in addition to one Senate bill naming a building, she did set the middle east on fire and oversee operations that got Americans killed :(
Seems to me the question ought to be “Why the beef”?, Obama the community organizer has been in charge for almost eight years!
It’s Democrats.
Nothing but tofu, silly.
No matter how it’s served up, normal people know to pass on it.

Lee,
Do you remember the ad she did with Dick Butkus? It was hilarious! At the end, there was a short tag where Clara asked Dick, “What kinda name is Butkus?” But she clearly pronounced it as “Butt kiss.” The next time I saw the ad, the tag was gone! Complaints I guess, but it was really funny!
I never saw that one. Dick has a really good sense of humor, so he probably liked it too!
This is the same with the BillMaher/JonStewart crowd - There is no substance to what they are talking about. They are just complaining.
They get a mic and a crowd of millions (ahem) and all they use it for is to “oh woe is me” our ears off.
They talk about how crummy things are, and how it’s not their fault and that someone should do something about it. Which would be fine if they stood out of the way while President Trump did something about it - but when they find out that .. Well, when they find out _something_ they stand in the way of the fix.
The only answer that seems to appease them is “We’re giving you all of the tax dollars”.
Even when they turn to their own leaders - All those leaders do is whine and complain about how bad things are and that they wish they were in control. They shrug and say “Theres nothing I can do about it”. Which is a popular notion among America’s current employees. When today’s employee is faced with even the slightest challenge the answer is always the same “I can’t do anything about it”.
It’s sickening. I sometimes wonder if the country that President Trump will shape will be filled by those who have the brains to carry out the fixes. I think many of his efforts will fall flat on their faces unless we get a new crowd of go-getters and “Yes I Can” americans to start picking up customer service lines.
I've been saying since the Clinton days that it's all about the "cult of personality". I could not believe watching him playing sax on SNL nor answering a question about his underwear. An honorable candidate would have said to the young woman, "That's an inappropriate question".
The above said, I hope that Trump's celebrity influences the young stupid Kardashian Bachelor types to vote for him just because.

Frank Fontaine! Wow, are we old. LOL
I’m so old I was clued in back in the Kennedy days, when Nixon won their debate with those who heard it on the radio because of what he said, and Kennedy won for those who saw it on fledgling television because...well, because he looked so darn handsome - but if it works to our advantage with Trump, I’ll take it.....
Although I have my problems with Trump, the one talent I believe him to have is to appoint the best people around him. He has done it all his business life. I'm still not sure if he can successfully debate the spinning, parsing, lying, politically astute Hellary with his repeated generalities, but he has my vote because of his ability to surround himself with the best.
Have you seen who his potential USSC justices are that he's considering? I believe his Cabinet will consist of the most capable, knowledgeable, pro-American, internationally astute people he can find. I sincerely believe that.
Whereas, Hellary will appoint only those that agree with her globalist/socialist/utopian view of the World with no room for opposing advise/views. Her history of being a control freak is well documented in so many books.
Somebody saved it! Isn’t it funny? But here in the cleveland area, after one showing, the cut her question out! I gotta go watch it again! Thank you for my first smile of the day,,, and it’s been a loooong day!

It’s not those people I worry about. It’s “all of us” that I worry about. In order to break free of the Chinese chains in our economy, we need to, very suddenly, awaken the American Worker. We need to remove the current slob that stands behind every (seemingly every) counter and replace their minds with the intellect and drive that our parents have.
In order for the plan to fully work, each of us has some weight to shoulder. And American Quality will need to return before the pay will return. We can’t just increase pay and then stand back and watch the modern worker start to care for their job, and the product they create. We need to go the other way around. We need to find a way to make all Americans give more attention to what they produce, and then slowly turn the heat up on what we get paid to do these things. It can’t happen through edict and it can’t happen through a plan.
People, myself included, have to be sure that there is a brighter future for us if we give more attention to detail and spend our own time against the clock to fully investigate, document and report challenges in the workplace.
So often I call up a customer service team only to be let down by the Debbie Downer that picks up “Oh... I can’t do that.” or “I’m not allowed to do that” instead of taking a swig of coffee and waking the hell up and focusing on a solution. Just basically, everyone needs to do their damned job better.
This is how America falls asleep. We need to wake up. We can’t just start paying people more money and hoping that they will do a better job. People need some sort of hope - and a real roadmap to get there - and we will all start to give a damn about our jobs.
So many employees are just floating through their day. Making it to 5:00 and then sighing a breath of relief that “today wasn’t the day that they got fired”. This is how most people today behave.
