Time To Unite Behind Trump
Canada Free Press ^ | 05/10/16 | Douglas V. Gibbs

Hillary Clinton is the final nail in the coffin of the United States Constitution. Donald Trump, if guided properly by the people around him, may very well be the crowbar that begins to open the lid again

Is Donald Trump the perfect Republican Candidate? Absolutely not. Is he a Republican in the first place? I think he might be, but overall he’s a wild card. Is Donald Trump a better candidate than the other GOP candidates he beat? In some cases, but not in all of them. Is Donald Trump a better candidate for President of the United States than Hillary Clinton? You bet your bottom dollar he is.

After Donald Trump completed his solid victory in the Indiana Primary (after struggling in States who hold caucuses), his competitors in the GOP race (Ted Cruz and John Kasich) promptly suspended their campaigns. The cleared path makes Donald Trump the presumptive Republican Candidate in the 2016 Presidential Election.

I am not bowing to Trump till that last vote is cast and he is sworn in, IF he is sworn if. As the article below explains, Cruz could actually win in either the Electoral College or the House of Representatives. The most likely scenario is that no candidate gets a majority in the Electoral College. There are 538 electoral votes in the Electoral College. A majority, that is 270 electoral votes, is required to elect the President. Electors are not always bound in every case to any candidate. It is conceivable that, let’s say, Trump gets 250 votes, and Hillary gets 250 votes and Cruz gets 38 votes. Since no candidate would have an outright majority in the Electoral College, the House chooses among the top 3 vote getters from the Electoral College. Now, there is an unlikely alliance of anti-Trumpers in the House that could make a Cruz victory possible. This anti-Trump alliance includes constitutional conservatives, libertarians, biblical Christians, and establishment Republicans, and even many Democrats. Remember, that Trump has only gotten 38% of the vote among Republicans in the primaries! And also remember, Hillary has almost as high negatives as Trump. Something could shake loose in December or January.

You said Trump might make a good president. How?

Answer how each might make a good president then decide.

So you would rather have a lying, Ineligible CANADIAN as president of the united States than a HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL AMERICAN businessman who just might be able to straighten out the financial mess we are in? YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!

Vote your conscience, not your fears. We voted for McCain and Romney out of fear because Obama was the MacGuffin that the RNC created. We lost, but the RNC and their consultants , and the Media won big, while we, the American People lost. Now the RNC and the Media has made Hillary Clinton the MacGuffin Candidate and want your money and support to feather their Nests even more. I realized that what they have said for the last 15 years is ‘I want your money and support, but sit down and shut up- we don’t need the Constitution or conservatives. Trump is a Wall Builder, but I fear that he has only built a wall around thinking when he says ‘vote for me or you are voting for Hillary?’ Not so fast ! Support the policies that I believe in, and earn my vote. Simply , don’t vote for someone because of blind loyalty or fear, but vote for the principles that are important to you. If that is trump, so be it. We have become ‘settlers’ of ‘voting for the lesser of two evils.’ You have your vote and I have my vote. The current RNC will not get my money or support. When I step in the booth, I will only vote for principled constitutional conservatives. If there is not one on the ballot, whatever the office, I will not vote for that office.

Each to his own. I prefer to afford Trump the opportunity to polish his conservative credentials a bit more. There’s a lot of time between now and November for him to do that.

“In his business dealings, he throws lots of mud against the wall and hopes that some of it sticks.”

You sound like a liberal making false generalizations and bearing that “false witness” you proclaim he does.
