Last week the full titanium model of Captain Americas shield stood up to the test against 8 rounds .45 ACP caliber. This week we get to find out if it can be successfully used as an offensive weapon to go for the kill.
The titanium model that Jerry Miculek is using is a 12-pound shield that matches exactly that of Captain America. Take a look at the video as Miculek tries his hand at throwing the shield as a weapon at a ballistics dummy to see what the damage may look like. See the result here.

The State Department has designated vibranium as a “conflict mineral”, and thus they won’t allow it to be imported. . . (evil grin)

Okay, that is a pretty cool video, but the Captain is much stronger and faster, and he can hit multiple targets with the shield and get it to return to him.

Cap’s shield is made of vibranium. It’s harder and lighter than titanium, absorbs and reflects kinetic energy in a way that no real metal does.
It’s a deus ex machina plot device. A titanium shield is an apples and oranges comparison.

It’s titanium, so it’s not an exact match. Plus of course that’s a regular strength guy doing the throwing. Nice attempt though.

How does it stand up against THOR's hammer?
And does the shield give out a nice ring when struck?
