Gross made the comparison in an article published by Project Syndicate in September critical of how Poland and other eastern European countries have reacted to the migrant crisis. He decried as heartless the regions opposition to accepting refugees and argued that the attitude was rooted in the regions murderous past.
In the most controversial section, Gross wrote: Consider the Poles, who, deservedly proud of their societys anti-Nazi resistance, actually killed more Jews than Germans during the war.

Stalin is a very useful character. You can blame him for everything and expect others to believe.
Still: 1) it wasn't Stalin who threw stones at the Germans being herded from Pomerania, 2) Other WWII allies agreed to the Stalin's proposal, making them allies's, not Stalin's decisions.
I don't want to whitewash anyone in that situation, the Germans themselves had given enough reasons for the hard sentiments. And Russians too, of course.
Nevertheless, any attempts by today pampered arm-chair self-declared moralists to judge the WWII vets and survivors are laughable.
What’s funny is that when the Muslims kick the Volksdeutsche out of Germany, they will be begging the Poles for them to “return”.

They aren’t but this dude is additionally a US resident/dual citizenship holder and “respected scholar” according to far left circles hence the “fallout” would be too big... so I’m afraid the whole case will be processed forever or at least till this nasty grandpa kicks the bucket.
