Geraldo Rivera declared that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump could win 25 percent of the African American vote, adding that the GOP front-runner is not a racist.
"I predict that Trump may get as much as 25 percent of the African American vote," Rivera said on Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor" on Thursday.
"Why? Because he's anti-free trade or unfair trade. He's anti-immigration, the immigrants perceived by black Americans to being in direct competition to them."
Rivera added that Trump is not responsible for bringing race into the political atmosphere, as the issue has been used by Democrats and Republicans alike in the past.
"The base of the Democratic Party is encouraging the urban, African American and Latino voter to flock to them as part of their own resentment," Rivera said.
"Race is at the foundation of American politics," he said. "To pretend that Trump brought this into the fray is absolutely wrong. Trump is not a racist."

Who cares what Geraldo says.
Right, if anyone says anything that is not critical of Trump, let alone positive, then it, and the person, is worthless. I am getting so tired of this!
Who cares what Geraldo says
normally I would agree 100% with what you just said ...but read what the guy actually said .....I’m shocked.. it doesn’t sound like Geraldo... it sounds rational
Ger-who? As soon as i hear his voice on TV the power button gets turned to the off position-
Exactly!!
The Donald being pimped by The Geraldo.
This time, you should. As stupid left as stupid gets, Jerry Rivers knows Trump - very well - and he’s telling you if you’ll listen why he’ll beat the witch and end the Communist exec branch we live under.
Except that Trump is “anti-immigration” which makes it sound like Geraldo is pro illegal immigration.
Geraldo has been very fair to Trump, though as he says he doesn’t like his immigration position. Remember Geraldo has known Trump personally for years, and was on Celebrity Apprentice. He’s opined that he thinks Trump would be a very good president overall and is one of his two top choices out of both parties but wouldn’t say who the other one is.
“Except that Trump is anti-immigration which makes it sound like Geraldo is pro illegal immigration.”
He is.
Who’s Geraldo? ;-)
Black Americans should be pissed because their asses got stuck on the reservation, and they didn’t even get bingo rights. And if you think that’s chump change... the last year I have first hand knowledge, the year before the Seminoles got slots and table games...every member of the Seminole tribe got 40k tax free as a result of grandmas pissing it away at bingo.
I don’t know how high it will be, but I am pretty certain Trump will get more than the GOP’s usual 8% of the black vote.
How much more, I can’t say. My guess is 2x-3x (16% to 24%). Just a guess, though.

Whorealdo was going to run as a Pubbie in NJ, or rather, he said he'd been considering it a few years back.
If there is one thing Geraldo understands it is identity politics. It will be interesting to see how many votes Trump can pull from the groups dems take for granted.
.
Also:
if anyone says anything that is not positive of Trump, let alone critical, then it, and the person, is worthless.
.
I'm getting tired of both sides.
