Is it over yet?
Meanwhile, when we last tuned in at the Nevada Caucus, Donald Trump was terrifying the inept fools at the RNC who still havenât figured out that a massive, populist uprising is taking place among the electorate.
The GOP establishment is going to keep up the dirty tricks to ruin Trump all the way to Trumpâs arrival at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Now, after blowing 150 million on the inept candidate, Jebediah Bush, theyâre going to pour millions into the Rubio campaign, in what will be another feeble attempt to turn an Honorable Mention candidate into the first place winner.
Rubio couldnât beat Trump at anything right now, from the Florida primary to a game of Parchesi. Yet, weâre going to have to listen to endless drumbeating by the establishment on how great a candidate Rubio is and how heâs the only one who can beat Ma Barker Clinton.
Only yesterday, Mittens Romney was on the Neil Cavuto Show explaining that there is a potential bombshell in Trumpâs tax returns.
Uh huhâ¦The only bombshell in the Trump household is Melania and her body which was designed by Pininfarina.
Mittens and Jeb! must have dreamed up that one over a club sandwich lunch in the grill room.
No doubt the shenanigans are going to only increase as Trump marches on towards the nomination. The GOP establishment better wake up and realize that the enemy is not Trump, but Hillary Rotten Clinton, a Gotham City holographic villain who makes Tricky Dick look like Wally Cleaver; a looter and plunderer not seen since Genghis Khan rode roughshod over the steppes.
Tonightâs Showâ¦
Rubio came out swinging for the fences. Cruz joined in and the two of them looked like lion cubs trying to attack the giant, Trump.
The audience was also stacked with a mass of Rubio lobbyists and a couple shrieking women who cheered every time Rubio did everything from take a sip of water to adjust his hair sprayed black rug.
The focus of the debate quickly shifted to the top three contenders with Dr. Cool and Bobby Kennedy Kasich on the sidelines.
Trump repeated his plan to deport 11 million illegals and told Mexican President Vincente Fox that after dropping the F Bomb today, the wall just got ten feet higher! He also informed Telemundoâs Maria Celeste Arraras that no, uh, we donât need a wall on the Canadian border because uh, there arenât millions of illegal Canadians stealing US jobs. Trump blamed Cruz for supporting Chief Justice John Roberts and called Rubio a choke artist and Cruz a basket case and a liar. Trump closed the evening by stating that all politicians were all talk and no action.
Trump was on the defense tonight from the Rubio and Cruz pincer attack, but he still did fairly well and heâs set to sweep Super Tuesday.
Nextâ¦
Rubio â Powered by all the money meant for Jeb, Rubio was pumped up like the high school class president going to the prom with Marcia Brady. Rubio blasted Trump for allegedly using illegal Polish workers 38 years ago. Polish illegals, really? Yeah, those Poles are taking everyoneâs jobs. Dream on Rubio. Rubio was trying his best to emulate his arch nemesis, Chris Christie. He looked like a 15 year old kid trying to join Christieâs mob by whacking Trump. The RNC had the place packed wall to wall with Rubio supporters. Rubio blasted Trump, they cheered. Rubio said he had to use the bathroom, they hollered. Rubio took a sip of water, they clapped.
Meanwhile, Megyn Kelly can barely contain herself that Trump was attacked all night by the dynamic duo.
Cruz â Rubioâs sidekick, Cruz, questioned Trumpâs tax returns, and repeated his standard mantras of blowing ISIS away, stringing up members of Planned Parenthood, nuking Iran and dissolving the IRS, but not necessarily in that order.
Carson â Dr. Cool was literally asleep at the wheel with a sleep apnea mask over his face at the podium as the other gladiators battled around him. When Carson finally woke up he asked, âWill somebody attack me please?â
More sleeping gas doctorâ¦.
Kasich â RFK Kasich stayed out of the fight, while sounding tough on foreign policy and benevolent about health care. Watch out for Kasich, he has potential. Iâve said it before and Iâll say it again, a Trump/Kasich ticket wouldnât be too bad at all. The GOP could have their establishment figure with Kasich as VP, instead of Trump going rogue and picking Wayne Newton or Siegfried and Roy. Kasich gives you the feeling he knows what heâs talking about and heâs mature. According to a recent poll, Father John has an 11 point lead over Hillary.
At the end of the night, Wolf Blitzer looked like he needed some oxygen.
Is it over yet?

Another Cruz lie. No wonder no one trusts this guy. #GOPDebate
Cruz: Trump said he wouldn't stand with Israel.— American Hank (@_HankRearden) February 26, 2016
Sigh. Yet another Cruz lie: 'Trump supported the toppling of Qadafiin Libya.' Dirtiest campaign ever. #GOPDebatehttps://t.co/FuSrnjtRSn— American Hank (@_HankRearden) February 26, 2016
Lame attack by Cruz on Trump re: Israel. He's anti-Israel because he gave $ to Dems? C'mon, that's a stretch.— Howie Carr (@HowieCarrShow) February 26, 2016
UNBELIEVABLE!! Ted Cruz STILL lying about trumps actual healthcare! https://t.co/e4lWPTgTIY @CStevenTucker #TCOT pic.twitter.com/sknGZePuZi— Lori Hendry (@Lrihendry) February 26, 2016
You missed it? This is history!! What did you do while history rode by? Trump just became PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!You missed it? God bless you. Go to nite nite now, Karl Rove.
I don't know where on FR to say this, but I've wanted to for a while:
When I was much younger I landed a job in the headquarters of a major corporation. The CEO was damn near worshipped by employees and the community. I still don't think I've ever heard a bad thing about him.
I knew he was foremost a capitalist, also conservative and Christian.
I remember not long after I started I saw the company's filings or report on political contributions.
And I was shocked, flummoxed and disappointed to see the corporation gave virtually equal money to Democrats as to Republicans. Some years more to Dems, IIRC.
This company is in a highly regulated industry with constant dealings and negotiations with multiple government agencies.
I realized, and perhaps someone told me, the man gave to BOTH parties because he was subject to need either party on some change he sought in a regulation, or some relief from onerous government compliance on this or that. So he gave to both parties.
For Ted to harp on this with Trump is so damn DISINGENUOUS. Trump was in business and business men, no matter how committed to free enterprise, know the score, the real politik, that they'll likely need something, even something small and relatively innocuous, from a politician and not knowing if that politician will be Dem or Repub, they spread the wealth. Cover their bases. Hedge their bets. Play both sides of the street. Leave out one side---they'll remember it when you need something from THEM when THEY are in a position of power.
It is pure demagoguery for Ted to bring up that Donald gave to the Clintons---and conveniently fail to mention Trump had given to Cruz himself and to tons of other Republicans. You can bet his wife's employer, Goldman Sachs, does the SAME THING. They all do.
No matter how right or wrong I think it is, this real politik, and wishing that we all could stand by our principles, the outcome be damned, this man and his business provides his shareholders and employees and vendors with a living, and giving to both sides of the aisle is simply the way business is doing.
There may be other, more substantive attacks by Cruz aimed at Trump that I'd feel differently about, but not this. This is pure demagoguery.
Is the selling of influence---which is what this is---wrong? Yes. It's a game and the game is rooted in all things wrong. But the successful businessman has to play the game, or those shareholders, employees and vendors lose the value that otherwise accrues to them as the business succeeds.
Finally, on issues like this, or on flip flops, for example, it's not difficult at all to bring just as many, or more, up about Ted than Donald, and also more RECENT things. I think Trump went easy on both Cruz and Rubio tonight not pulling any of the multitude of skeletons in their closets.
Good post. The GOP needs to put a stop to these “debates.” They don’t serve the candidates at all and are the products of a MSM plan to discredit conservative candidates before the general election. All the vitriol expended on one another will prove fodder for the Democrats once the candidate is chosen.
AAHH-HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Trump announces his VP pick:
I enjoyed you post. I think you are so right.
