Trump’s Road to the White House Just Became Smoother

To me, Trump’s victory in the Republican primaries seems inevitable. To the clueless Republican political establishment – not so much

The results are in from the most recent Republican primary in South Carolina. As predicted, Donald Trump won his second consecutive primary contest. Trump- 32% and the runners up- being Senator Cruz and Rubio, both at about at 22%.

I hate to the bearer of bad news to the Republican political establishment, the “Anyone But Trump” cabal of fat cat fossilized old fogies; those die-hard denizens of the National Review and the Weekly Standard- the sanctimonious keepers of the conservative flame; and of course, those hundreds of long-time wealthy and well-connected conservative politicos who have been backing Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio.

Trade Taxation, Immigration and National Defense.

Sorry your emotional tirade is demonstrated false. Better luck with your next endeavor.

Rubio and Cruz will both stay in. That means that they are not saying so, but in reality they are jockeying for Vice Presidential nomination by Trump.

My guess is that Cruz is ahead in that arena. He fights harder, dirtier, and more effectively than does Rubio. He is far better organized and has a deeper small donor base. I think Trump is looking for a warrior VP and not a nice guy.

I’d vote for a Trump/Cruz ticket in a heartbeat. I’d also vote for Trump/Rubio, Trump/Carson, or Trump/Kasich.

I will vote for Pluto/Goofy over Hillary/Sanders.

Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal. Trump is a liberal.

You can repeat this nonsense until you’re blue in the face. It still has no bearing on the truth.

Trump is a pragmatic populist with conservative leanings.
He’s what the country needs right now.

I know, I don’t know where they get this stuff. Staunch supporter of the 2nd, is adamantly opposed to criminal foreign invaders, says he will deport them all and build a wall, even says if Obama imports Syrian refugees he will deport them as well once he takes office, says he will get Obamacare repealed, wants to overturn Roe V. Wade, where is this liberalism? If that’s liberal I’d hate to see what a conservative is like.

Trump's critics could call Trump all kinds of names until they are blue and red in the face: bigot, racist, homophobic, sexist, anti-immigrant, Islamophobic, but they have had no impact on Trump. More importantly, these public epithets, this juvenile name-calling have had no impact on Trump's core support. And will have no effect on this core group, going forward into the spring, summer and fall through the Republican primaries. And through the down and dirty, winner take all, race to the Presidency.

Of course we shouldn't expect that to stop the anti-Trumpers. They will absurdly howl away regardless.

You’re right Trump is not a Liberal, he is to you what ever you see in the mirror. He is the Obama of the republican party. He stands for nothing, believes nothing, worships nothing but his own image in a mirror, “mirror mirror on the wall who’s the wining est winner of them all.”

No, Trump is the outsider who is owned by no one. The political class must do the bidding of their corporate paymasters and special interests. Hillary is the epitome of the corruption and abuse by the political elites who have become disconnected from the people. There is really only on party in Washington with two wings.

Trump is strongest on all the issues Cruz’s campaign identified as “must win” and also just whipped his butt in the “must win evangelical SC”. This includes strongest on 2nd Amendmewnt, Immigration control, Border Security, National Defense, eliminating common core and returning education control to the local level, and repealing Obamacare.

Based on this, I’d suggest that your definition of “liberal” needs to be adjusted.

Trump isn't a liberal, he is a nationalist.

I think after his first term, BOTH the right and the left will hate him. Which means the American people will love him.

I believe he will succeed in ending gridlock in Washington and will be very successful at pushing his agenda through congress.

I fully expect to be disappointed with some if not many of his solutions. But I fully expect that I will be ecstatic with others.
