You want me to answer to a tape I can’t see?

I don’t know how to do that.

I do know one cannot honor the Constitution by advocating its violation.

I would agree that he left too many Clinton people in place, part of the rove Bush strategy. I’ve written that a lot. But Trump went a helluva lot further than that, and from the left. Trump never had the presence of mind to say that too many Clintonistas were held over.

Besides, not likely that he could have undone the Gorelick rule about the CIA and FBI in time anyway. Again, the discussion you and I are having is way above the level of what Trump was spouting off about.

Sorry. Thanks for the dialing down. I am not a coffee addict. I drink one cup a day out of duty because I’m sure i need the caffeine. There are a lot of good Hawaiian brands but I still use Folgers.

And there are two posters on opposite ends of the playing field who both have odd names starting the K. I apologized to the one I posted my mistake and I now apologize to you also.

They have their fingers in their ears and their eyes screwed shut.

It’s the only way they can continue the worship service.

I read your post again. So funny... but so sad.

It made me think of that little dude on Fantasy Island yelling, “Da plane, Da plane.”

Only for them it’s “Da Wall, Da Wall.”

Trump is right on the first two. He is dead wrong on the third. Period.

Absolutely correct. He made a huge mistake, crossed where he shouldn't have.

I understand the motivation to divorce the Bush family from the GOP, but there are better ways to do that. You might say he already had accomplished that. This was entirely unnecessary, and very wrong.

After that debate where he went off the reservation on a few fronts, if Trump wins SC there is no way he isn’t nominated. Basically his army of followers would be proven unconcerned about his contradictory, and often non-conservative, points of view. The GOP will have to roll the dice with him.
.............
Yeah this is what I thought. If Trump wins SC after that performance Saturday night —then the nomination race is over. Trump wins.

“He’s simply a mentally unstable individual and a pathological narcissist, a man with no fixed ideology other than the worship of his own personality.”

You’re giving him far too much credit. He’s much simpler than that.

Trump is a salesman, in the business of selling Trump. His only interest is increasing his brand. Every tweet, every Facebook like, every vote; they’re all the same to him.

He lies not because he doesn’t know what’s true but because he knows what each audience wants to hear. And like any good salesman, he tailors his pitch to adapt to the mark. And sadly, it’s working on too many of us who really ought to know better. But like the best of salesman, he’s only selling what we’re so desperate to buy.

Thanks for your thoughtful and incisive analysis. I don’t disagree with you. Not at all.

But Trump’s Cindy Sheehan “impersonation” Saturday night made me think that in addition to his being a talented TV actor and great salesman, this guy is seriously unstable.

I think this characteristic is not inconsistent with his being a super-salesman. Being dangerously unstable does not rule out being a great salesman, and vice-versa.

Well, Enlightened 1, I guess you told me. You obviously have some pretty good, A1 (source with direct access who has reported reliably on the subject in the past) information on the plans of the GOP or your crystal ball is a helluva lot more definitive than mine.
