No wonder he has no ratings. It’s meant to be entertainment not Colbert’s own political satire show and bad enough he is copying Fox.
I hear that Colbert’s show is not doing very well.
I only watched it once for 10 minutes and it wasn’t funny at all.

I really had respect for Cruz at one time . . even hoped he could make VP . . but his ‘fans’ at this website have sunk to new levels and have decidedly hurt him, at least here at Free Republic.
How sad that Repubs can’t stick together and leave Libs out of their attempt to sway minds.
Wow Col-bert (ashe was know in his hometown of Charleston South Carolina) is just soooooo clever - not often funny but just so clever. And of course he will be THE ONE who brings down Trump using his rapier wit.

Colbert should do a bit involving TRUMP (PEACE BE UPON HIM) and his SHORT FINGERS. He apparently has a sensitivity to his ABNORMALLY STUBBY FINGERS. Some folks don’t know about his SMALL FINGERS.

Colbert pointed out the challenge with Trump - Do you believe what he says or what he says? Will he do what he says or what he says he will do? They are different things. He is on both sides of most issues.
Nixon ran a similar ad against Humphrey years ago. It was a picture of Humphrey stating one position, then flipping and saying the opposite. HHH's words, just like that trump-Trump debate. How do you believe someone who changes positions as the polls move?

And Trump supporters blame everything & everyone *except* Trump for his nastiness so far in this campaign.
But you don't even have to say anything - the man makes the case against himself, all by his lonesome. He really needs no help from his supporters:
“How do you believe someone who changes positions as the polls move?”
Ridiculous assertion that Trump should be held to the same standard as a POLITICIAN . . when Trump was a private citizen/New York businessman.

NOW . . please answer YOUR own question by showing PROOF that Trump has changed his position as the polls move.
That is the ONLY period of time on which he can be judged, as he can only be judged during the time period of actually running for President.
I will be waiting for your proof of his flip flopping, rather than your piling on with VOX and the LIBS with a scathing indictment of a private citizen’s rhetoric well BEFORE he became a candidate.

I would hope that all Freepers wouldn’t like using VOX to degrade the Repubs’ front runner. Goes against everything I thought we stood for.
