BUY, EVERYBODY: Trump Paid Actors to Cheer and Hoist 'Homemade' Signs at Campaign Launch

While some suspect 'conservative' media to be in Trump's pocket -or at least sourcing revenue from said pocket- still more are now scratching their head at Palin's highly-dubious endorsement of a pro-abortion non-conservative (who thinks mocking disabled people is funny)... so it's time to wonder what the value is of Trump's much-trumpeted
'can't be bought' spiel, now that he appears to be the one doing the buying.
Small wonder the corrupt, self-serving GOPe thinks their interests could be potentially better served by electing a wheeling, dealing quasi-dictator instead of a principled man -and proven conservative- like Ted Cruz.
Flashback to last June when Trump was making his announcement at
Trump Towers in Manhattan, where he couldn't get more than a handful of people to show up for the press event assembled to launch the campaign.
The Donald's agency put out a casting call for $50/pop for actors to fill the room, wear his T-shirts, cheer, and hold up signs -including some fake 'homemade' ones produced by the campaign themselves.
Of course the Trump campaign attempted to smother the story, but there's little denying that the call went out... and if you look at the photos from that event, the 'supporters' seem to fit the narrative... what I see is immigrants, homeless, and kids that need a few bucks.
Hollywood Reporter:
New York-based Extra Mile Casting sent an email last Friday to its client list of background actors, seeking extras to beef up attendance at Trump's event.
"We are looking to cast people for the event to wear t-shirts and carry signs and help cheer him in support of his announcement," reads the June 12 email, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
"We understand this is not a traditional 'background job,' but we believe acting comes in all forms and this is inclusive of that school of thought." (Read the full email at the bottom of the post.
The pay was listed as $50 for less than three hours of work. According to the email, Extra Mile was reaching out to potential extras in partnership with Gotham Government Relations and Communications, a New York-Based political consulting group that has worked with Trump in the past. Gotham GR had no comment.
Other reports had him filling halls at earlier events
-where Trump always touted crowd size-
by paying attendees $50/pop as well...

Seems like seed money well spent, since he’s clearly not paying $50 a pop to the crowds of 10,000 to 15,000 that he’s getting now.
To: Reaganite Republican
And the point is? Jebito Bush can’t even find enough people willing to take $50 to hawk a campaign sign for him.
He’d rather piss away millions at a time on featherbedding consultants..

I saw this a few days ago and I call BS on this one. If Trump actually had been paying folks to attend his rallys there is no way word would not have spread earlier.

you have palin derangement syndrome like me. or so i’ve been told because i called her a media w###e.
to be honest though, paying those people is at the bottom of my list of things that concern me about Trump.
a dangerous narcissism, the possibility that the past comments were the truth and his thin skin all concern me.
i could be wrong about all three, and if he wins the election i hope he does a great job. i will vote for him in general if he gets the nod

He didn't pay anyone any money in Reno.
The crowds are too large for this fantasy.

So what! Who gives a rats ass?
Well, this is AstroTurf support rather than grassroots support.
Which punches a small hole in the Trump narrative...
I do concede this could be a complete BS story...nowadays who knows anymore what is the truth and what political nastiness...
It's very hard to tell

Angelo Carusone, the executive vice president for Media Matters, penned an article for Medium.com in which he accused Trump of hiring fake fans. He cited as evidence anonymous sources
Let me guess, one of those "anonymous" sources is the same lawyer friend of yours who claims to have been personally screwed by Trump...........You're a funny guy.

Not a huge Trump fan - But this is bull - He doesn’t need to pay for crowds - his message resonates with a lot of fed up people - me included. I am just not a fan of his self-promoting personality.
