Impimp way to stop Muslims in America (vanity)

The constitution and first amendment make it unlikely that we could say no Muslim immigration. What we can do is block all immigration from majority Muslim nations. This will save us.

Every GOP politician should adopt this policy right now.

The First Amendment does not grant Muslims or any other group a right to immigrate to the United States.

One of the primary functions of the Federal government is to regulate the borders including human traffic and cargo. The problem is Federal govt does everything except what is its supposed to do.

Problem I got with that is that the Muslims are in every country.

The only thing that would work is stopping all immigration from anywhere.

I had no idea the 1st amendment said we can’t block immigration. I learn something every day here at FR!

Yes but if our immigration laws explicitly blocked Muslims then it would be considered by the leftist courts to be the establishment of a national religion.

He’s confusing religious freedom for citizens and legal residents with a nonexistent right to immigrate for Muslims.

My plan has a better chance of success than yours, politically. Additionally your plan is bad.

“The only thing that would work is stopping all immigration from anywhere.”

We’ve done it before. Let’s do it again!...Or is that “not who we are”?

I disagree. The Constitution was never intended to regard all religions as having equal status in our nation. The usage of the word "Religion" in the first amendment actually means "denomination" in accordance with their usage of the time period.

It was axiomatic that the nation would be Christian. The Constitution exempts the President from working on Sunday, and even ends with a reference to Jesus.

The real history of our nation has been distorted badly by the Judiciary as a result of all of Roosevelt's kook judges he appointed to the courts.

Abraham Lincoln knew the truth, and he made no bones about it.

I don't care. That is most certainly the position this nation should have. Muslims should not be allowed to practice their religion here, or for that matter, anywhere else in the world.

I consider that religion to be as toxic as Nazism, and Nazism is illegal in certain countries in Europe by law, and heavily discouraged by social pressure here and elsewhere.

The Islamic religion needs to be banned in the manner of Nazism. They are very similar in attitude and consequences.

Hitler himself was a big fan of Islam.

You have blinders on.

Hypothetical and unlikely to pass SCOTUS scrutiny. The prohibition of one religion (particularly one that serves as a political system too) does not establish another as a national religion.

If immigration laws said only Catholics could immigrate, that might be a different story. Even then, it's within Congress' purview to legislate such a requirement as nothing would prevent an immigrant from becoming a Muslim, Jew, or Jehovah's Witness after immigration and worshipping within First Amendment protections.

“The constitution and first amendment make it unlikely that we could say no Muslim immigration”

That is a ridiculous statement. The government has already outlawed polygamy (which the LDS originally practiced and is still practiced by FLDS) and snake handling.
