The Daily Tarheel, the University of North Carolina's newspaper, declared yesterday that calling America "great" is actually racist.
According to the paper, "the Democratic Party has been selling "America is Already Great" merchandise on it's website." This is based off of Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" hat.
The Daily Tarheel has a problem with such merchandise.
According to the paper, "this is problematic because it implies that over two centuries of systemic racism and imperialism are "great.""
"Come on Dems," the paper reads, "you're supposedly liberal."
Another problem that UNC had yesterday? "Racist dogs."
Chapel Hill is a lost cause. It has been for years. My father would claim it’s been a lost cause since the 1950s.
I’m surprised that the good citizens of North Carolina put up with this crap. But, then again, I live in Texas and the Universty of Texas is just as bad, maybe worse.
Calling UNC a place of higher learning is a mistake.
North Carolina and Texas are slowly going towards purple and maybe eventually blue. Once that happens, we are cooked.
I would no more hire a graduate of Chapel Hill than I would one from Penn State.

Not anymore. Now they are wearing the Progressive badge again (previously used by American Communists from 1890 to about 1921).
Liberal means liberty, especially in thought. And here they are telling people what to think and what they cannot be permitted to think. That’s not liberal, but it is Progressive.

It might be easier if they just put out a list of things they didn’t consider racist.
It sounds to me as though our taxpayer subsidized “universities” and “colleges” are breeding haters.

#2) If it is “racist” to say America is great, then what is it when leftists constantly cite Scandinavia and its socialism as proof that those nations are “great”?
I wish to God I owned the rights to the word “racist”. Every lib who says it must pay me a penny. I think in weeks time I would become the worlds first trillionaire.
This explains Sanders’ popularity.
The dems aren’t liberal enough, and liberalism is now defined as positing America as an inherently racist nation.
Same thing with Tony The Tiger. Calling that cereal great is discriminatory and obviously a white offense because we all know that tigers are not European while the cereal is make from white wheat.

Chapel Hill is tolerated.
Sort of like how you would tolerate a PITA mother-in-law, or that crazy aunt with 37 cats (and the pictures to prove it!) who shows up every year at Christmas dinner.
Every family tree has a branch that isn’t talked about. 90% of NC is wonderful, though, and I would t even think of changing it. :-)
