This just in....

A Flesch-Kincaid analysis of Earnest Hemingway’s “The Old man And The Sea” reveals a grade-level of 4.

...Ernest Hemingway, the Pulitzer and Nobel Prize-winning novelist whose work shaped 20th-century fiction.

I want to see the results for what grade/reading level Joe Biden speaks at.

I’m going to take a wild guess and say that’s information I’ll never see.

Did anyone analyze the article grading the debate participants?

“small battalion of moderators averaged a fifth-grade vocabulary level — just barely. “

So, way over the head of the average GOP voter in other words.

Jim Cramer skewed the analysis... from 4th grade to 5th.

The readability thing is overdone. The King James Bible scores around the seventh grade, but some of the concepts are much higher.

The translators of the King James bible paid particular attention to the sound of the words; it was meant to be read aloud. That is why more modern translations read with the dryness and dullness of an economic textbook alongside it.

HA! I was asking just last night in a related thread, if there was a transcript around so we could run the moderators’ questions through an analyzer.

Its the usual canard from the press, better known as the propaganda wing of the Demo Party. Reagan is stupid, can’t govern, Jimmy Carter is a genius, can govern. So Ben Carson, the world’s leading pediatric neurosurgeon, speaks at a 9th grade level? So Ted Cruz, a member of the Princeton debate team and a Harvard Law graduate who has argued nine cases before the Supreme Court, is an idiot? So Rand Paul, who is an eye surgeon, is stupid? No. There were three stupid, incoherent people at that debate and they sat in the CNBC moderator’s chairs.

Better watch out. Using this test, Trump will be found to speak at a first-grade level. Maybe kindergarden.

Don’t get me wrong. I like Trump and what he is doing a lot.

I’m just a Cruz fan.......smartest guy in US government.....

I heard a long time ago that newspapers are written at the 8th grade level. Wonder how dim politicians are ranked considering their voter’s education level.

Dragging out the Flesch-Kincaid to analyze candidates speech patterns is a boring standard routine of every political season. Mysteriously, and I’m sure it is purely coincidental, it is only ever applied to conservative candidates if the results are “negative” and liberals if the results are “positive”.

The reality is any speaker who talked at a 12-grade-plus level would come across as a pompous twit. In other words they would be John Kerry.

The problem with having debate moderators from the MSM is that candidates feel obliged to dumb down their message to make it understandable to the likes of Harwood and Quick.

Actually, it's quite understandable that the CNBC hosts would speak at such an elementary level. Just look at their audience. Anyone who would look to NBC for business advice would certainly be so poorly educated, or even less. It takes one to know one.

The audience for GOP presidential candidates, however, would be quite opposite. These are people who see through the lies and giveaways of the Democrat party, and its sycophant press. The expectation of GOP presidential voters is much-much higher.

CNBC has breathlessly reported that the Republican candidates who have participated in this year’s three GOP presidential debates have spoken at the ninth-grade level or below according to the Flesch-Kincaid readability test.

How else could the media morons understand what was said. Hell they are just teleprompter readers. No comprehension required.
