House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) warned voters against falling for GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruzs siren song of feel-good, but politically unviable policy prescriptions. Boehners remarks came at a Colorado fund-raising event.
Securing the border, defunding Planned Parenthood, killing the deal with Iran may sound good to unsophisticated ears, but they arent going to go anywhere, Boehner told wealthy donors. President Obama is going to block all of these notions. If we follow Cruz we get nothing. If we go along with the President we stand a chance of getting a piece of the action.
The piece of the action Boehner is so keen to hold onto includes ensuring that important Republican constituencies get a share of government spending thrown their way. The federal government buys lots of stuff. Seeing that it buys some of this stuff from our donors is our responsibility Sacrificing this potential cash flow for the sake of futile challenges to the Presidents agenda is foolish. Cruz is a jackass for pushing them.

Cruz has one of the main ‘bully pulpits’ right now and is liked by a lot of voters, one word from Cruz's mouth and Johnny boy loses his ‘power’ in The House....
Cruz is not going to upset the voters right now, but if Johnny boy gets to carried away by his ‘water carrying to obuma’ Cruz could stomp him like the crochroach he is...
Boehner’s been spending too much time with Obama; he’s using the word “notion” - one which Obama likes to use when he seeks to paint others as nuts.
By November of next year....President-to-be Trump will hire up Cruz to be Attorney General, and a couple of years will pass...where Trump appoints Cruz to the Supreme Court. In the end, Senator Cruz will go away....it’s just that he’s going to be a thorn in the side of wannabe-Republicans for decades to come.
and maybe by then we will have gotten rid of the corruption in the Senate and House and have elected ‘God fearing Men and Woman who want to Keep America Great Always!’
Which part was satire?
When we were in the minority we couldn’t stop anything, and when we are in the Majority the Minority stops everything. I think maybe someone is full of it.
