Slash and Burn: How Democrats Defend the Indefensible—and Why Republicans are No Match for Them

Were Republicans trying to let Obama's Democrats curb-stomp them on the Planned Parenthood vote?

The Republican congressional leadership’s embarrassing failure to open fire on the human body-part wholesalers of Planned Parenthood, a group that is at the very center of gravity of the American Left, is symptomatic of a larger, probably deadly pathogen flowing in the veins of the once-proud party of Lincoln.

The collapse of the barely-there effort this week to deprive Planned Parenthood of taxpayer support for its ongoing, ever-expanding assembly line of horrors in which the group’s leaders harvest human fetuses before their time in order to profit from the unquestionably unlawful profit-driven trafficking of tiny livers, eyeballs, hearts, kidneys, and brains of human fetuses, was preordained. It was a depressing confirmation of Sun-Tzu’s maxim that the outcome of every battle is determined before the first skirmish.

Planned Parenthood officials were caught red-handed, both literally and figuratively, in gruesome, vomit-inducing sting videos haggling over the market prices of human organs as if these people were Old World fishmongers. Federal law forbids anyone from carrying out an abortion procedure aimed at preserving some fetal organs at the expense of other organs. The law was enacted to discourage precisely what Planned Parenthood admits it is doing.

No doubt corporations that are involved own the Reps as well as the Dems. He who pays the piper calls the tune.

I’m the last guy to subscribe to a conspiracy theory, but one has to wonder why the GOP appears so weak and caves so often?

Repubs have been conditioned to behave like neutered little men. They have been convinced by their consultants that the “independents” don't like “fighting” and “harsh language.”

In the meantime dems just get bolder and more strident.

Jebby buys into this theory. Trump does not.

Because they’re just the other side of the big-government coin.

Tis indeed a deadly “pathogen” in D.C. as it robs Democrats of their minds and Republicans od their spines!

Anybody who thinks abortion is about money is missing the point entirely.

Abortion is a peculiar institution, in exactly the way that chattel slavery was a peculiar institution. What this means as a practical matter is that all of the common law, as well as all statutory law, has to get out of the way if the consequence of normal observance threatens the institution.

And why is this? It's because people, even people who find the institution itself revolting, cannot imagine (literally, can't frame the thought) an alternate reality where the institution does not exist.

Northern compromisers weren't taking cut of the profits from slave auctions. And verbally pro-life but practically pro-abortion Republicans aren't getting paid off, either.

They just know that, for the American voter, f***ing his brains out is the most important thing, more important than anything else, and that a threat to abortion is a threat to THAT, and as such is politically deadly.

Many people here, who are having normal reactions to this disgusting butchery, are optimistic that the tide will turn, that (finally) the voters are on their side, and that something can be done.

I don't believe it for a second.

This vote served a purpose, it let Satan know just who his minions were.

This should end forever any serious discussion about establishment Republicans. They have removed all doubt about where their hearts lie, where their loyalty lies, where their character and morality are centered.

All doubt is hereby and forever removed.

If an establishment Republican is nominated, I will vote 3rd party for the first time in my life.

I promise.

That is it exactly!!!

Also, Roe v. Wade has been portrayed and ultimately accepted as the "Thirteenth Amendment for women." Women were literally slaves prior to 1/22/'73 and to turn the clock back to the day before is literally as unthinkable as going back to 1860.

I keep saying it: this is the Hegelian dialectic at work. Conservatives must understand this or they understand nothing.

Some very good post on here...

I for one, feel that everyone in the House and Senate have something to do with Planned Parenthood that they don't want us to know about, if we did, they would never return to Washington.

But then again, the Republicans are lead by the MSM, Washington Cartel, the lobbyists, and big companies, they all have their hands in the ‘cookie jar’ and lining their own pockets...they have done very evil things, some we don't know about...

Its time we set term limits: 2 years for House and Senate and 4 years for POTUS...we need new blood, we need new ideas, we need people we elect to stand up and bring morals back to our Country and the only way that is going to happen is who we vote to send there...be very careful who you elect to any position to represent you, local, state and national...if they don't fit your beliefs, campaign against them and find someone else that does...

Its time for WE the people to run our country again, not crooks, liars, and thieves....

Amazing that there are so many people who are convinced the videos are fake. It is like that movie "They Live" in which aliens were walking around but no one could see through their disguises. It took hacking their cloaking transmissions (or wearing special glasses) to see them for who they really were. I really believe the only way this thing ends is someone puts these images - the most vile, horrific images from these videos - onto prime time television and say "see, this is what you support."

The left has mastered the art of obfuscation of the issues. This is now a debate over whether the videos are real, instead of whether human babies are being cut up and sold by the pound.

As for the Republicans...they had a victory teed up here. All they had to do was roll out some TVs and play the videos over and over. All day long. Every day. Show the world what this was all about. Instead, they buried the debate in arcane rules and destined-to-fail land grabs to shut all funding for PP down immediately. The Dems easily turned that around, and made it about GOP trying to kill women. This is college level politics 101 and the GOP is still in kindergarten.

At the end of the day, these videos are working. I never gave serious thoughts about what PP does until now. They are now my sworn enemy.

This is right on the money. It is the same reason, I believe, we as a nation do nothing about drunk drivers. I sat on a jury for a guy who was on his 5th DWI. It was only then that the state got serious about locking him up. But why are we so lenient on drunk drivers? It's because most people see themselves potentially in that position and don't want to be TOO harsh on them. You can't expect people to NOT drink, right? It would ruin businesses. It would ruin the fun! Politically it doesn't matter what party you're in, being a wet blanket at the binge drinking pub is political suicide.

In the case of abortion, not only can Republicans not end the party, but the pubs are run by Democrats. They have absolutely no chance.

I agree with your analysis.

We are to be pajamas boy.

This is why Trump is doing so well. He is not pajamas boy, and any attempt by msm, democrats, and effeminate republicans, to tell him to watch his “tone” is treated with with contempt. And real conservatives, while maybe not fully embracing and trusting Trump, are cheerleading Trump on and encouraging him to stand up like he has been doing, and to not cower and give in like a pajamas boy.

You hit it on the head, “Pajama Boys.” That is what American males are being conditioned to become.

I have observed this often. Hetro couples in their 20’s and 30’s where the guy seems effeminate and swishy while the female seems confident and bold.

Well said.

The Mr. Nice Guy shtick worked in the "For the Children" Clinton 90s. Also, it only works when only one side of the team is Mr. Nice Guy. There also needs to be an Attack Dog.

Liberals have absolutely mastered this tactic. Conservatives can't even compete.

Not sure term limits will do it. We are very near the time we have to shoot them all.

Until this has a real cost, they will keep doing what they are doing. When they lose elections, they go to work on K street and make boatloads more. Their wives do too. Their wives, in fact, make so much more money than their husbands do, and they are hired because of their access to their husbands.

They have to lose something irreplaceable before they start figuring out they’ve gone too far.

We’re almost there, I would think.

Could be. But I still think there’s a reason Obama let it be released that he spies on members of congress and the senate.
