The Chains of Government Strengthens as our Morality Weakens
Canada Free Press ^ | 05/09/15 | Leigh Bravo

Must we accept that we are no longer the electorate and the elected, but the ruling and the ruled?

“Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.”- Benjamin Franklin

What has happened to the United States? Many say that it is a natural progression that is inevitable, but is it actually the breakdown of our morals, our ethics, our family structure and our school systems? Is it the inevitable “chains of government,” that have slowly but surely bound us with the very freedoms we claim to embrace?

In the name of progression, we have thrown out the very things that made this country great. Our leaders have shunned the very thought that the United States is a Christian Nation and our freedoms are slowly being taken from us on a daily basis. Government of the people, by the people, for the people, exists no more! We are now being ruled by the political elite who have adopted “political correctness,” as the new rule of law.

Let the US prove we’re civilized by putting a stop to the baby-killing industry and the feminist-baby killer complex.

It’s an almost unavoidable trap of a successful democracy. People’s lives get better and better with each generation until they have TOO MUCH leisure time to think up nonsense and start listening to groups that HATE their way of life. The virus spreads and spreads, usually focused on a group that everyone else can agree to hate, in this case white men.
Individual freedom is traded for freebies by the majority.
Deviancies are celebrated and God is declared dead.

The final step occurs when a group from outside that still has strong convictions, whether misguided or not, like Muslims, attack relentlessly until they take over and rape the women and kill the men.
That’s how a republic falls.

Just by coincidence, I listened to this John MacArthur sermon this morning...it goes along so well with your posted article, I had to share the link...the sermon is dated 2000, but very easily could have been given today...it truly proves there is NOTHING new under the sun...

Very good article and posts. “Progressives”? National socialists. Secular totalitarians. Obfuscating oligarchs.

DEFUND/DISMANTLE socialist collectives, foreign and domestic.

DEPOPULATE socialists from the body politic.

You are correct that this is how a democracy or republic fails. But in the case of the US, it is also the result of adopting the Euro/communist principle that all humans are basically good, and it’s their environment that corrupts them. This goes back at least the that French guy, Rousseau, in the 1700s and it is the basis of all socialism and communism. Think of Lenin and Stalin’s concept of “the new Soviet man.”

The Judeo-Christian principle of Original Sin is the basis of our Constitution and is what everyone used to be taught in church. (Or, as my father told me, “Son, just remember, your fellow man is no d-mn good.”)

There is no hope for a country where the vast majority of people believe a falsehood about the very basic nature of humanity. Such a country simply cannot be virtuous, in the words of Franklin.

Long piece. Here is one of her points made by quoting:

“...show me a man or a woman or a culture without shame and I will show you monstrosity in the making. If secularism leads to a society without shame, society cannot survive.”- Ravi Zacharias

The de facto queen and king of our nation by major minority choice derive their power from, above all their non virtuous virtues, shamelessness

Laura Ingraham showed a clip of him, Clinton, on oreilly last night

His audience squealed with stars truck delight when he, with his bony fingers played with his white hair, saying, ‘there are one set of rules for politicians and another set of rules for regular life”

He said life instead of people

The woman sitting next to him on the stage was doubled over in infatuated laughter

you know, I could never articulate what you just wrote, but now I will just steal from you :)
Men aren’t all inherently good and I forgot that original sin was the argument to be made for that point.

Also, if all humans are basically good, what is this “environment” they speak of? some kind of entity on tis own? doesn’t make sense.

Even the headlines are now being written by interns.

Who said this?

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy.

“24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.””

And this explains the breakdown in morals in America. Why is anyone surprised?

"Yes, we did produce a near perfect Republic.  But will they keep it?  Or, will they, in the enjoyment of plenty, lose the memory of freedom?  Material abundance without character is the path to destruction.  Thomas Jefferson (on the free market/private property system they tried to leave us and the incredible wealth they knew it would allow us to produce ‑‑ and what MIGHT happen to us as a result. The familiar vernacular expression today is "Fat, dumb and happy.")

How did such a handful of men leave so many brilliant quotes?
How did such a group come together in the same country at he same time.
Alas, I fear for their creation.

I’m convinced that God had much to do with it.
The fact that two of those men — Jefferson and Adams — DIED PRECISELY 50 years to the day of the signing of Declaration has to be more than coincidence.
Jefferson and Adams had once been enemies but ultimately reconciled and left behind many letters between them.
Jefferson had already passed that morning of July 4th, 1826 but, before Adams passed, his last comforting words to his those at his deathbed were “Mr. Jefferson still lives”.

“Also, if all humans are basically good, what is this ‘environment’ they speak of? some kind of entity on its own? doesn’t make sense.”

I think that’s a perfect summary of the basic problem with Rousseau. The way he stated it was, “Man, in a state of nature, is good.” He originated the term. Noble Savage.

If that’s so, what would people run into in “nature” that would make them bad? The commie materialists don’t have a real answer for that.
