NYSUT is promising that they "will win the war" that is being waged against them by "well-funded, aggressive, cold blooded radical extremists."
The front cover of a new flier released by NYSUT shows fists raised with the headline "WE WILL WIN THE WAR" written above:
Inside the flier, the union promises states, "We will win the war on teachers and working families!" A war is being waged by "extremists" all over the US, according to the flier, and "a tsunami of tenure attacks, voucher schemes, privately owned charter schools and funding cuts" is washing "across the country and the tidal wave is headed toward New York state."
According to the flyer, "your future depends" on giving money to NYSUT. "We're not talking about thousands of dollars, we're talking about many millions," they explain.
"As these anti-union, anti-public education and anti-middle class forces work to weaken and divide us," it continues, "they chip away at our livelihoods and our ability to effectively teach our students."
"The state borders haven't stopped these attacks from coming to New York, but we can!" the flyer promises:

It appears as though the “teachers” consider Americans to be their “enemy” and yet we still continue to turn our children over to them to be programmed. Weird.

They’ve already lost, but just don’t realize it yet. Wait until parents and taxpayers realize that half the school budget is going to pensions. All those ghost pay-rollers teaching nobody, nothing.

Here in Washington state, the WEA owns every Democrat politician. They own the state supreme court. They actually got a supreme court ruling that education was unconstitutionally underfunded (McCleary ruling). The legislature is actually under threat of being held in contempt if they don’t fork over billions more to the teachers. The freaking court is hijacking the legislature’s budget writing authority.
In comparison, the Mafia is an amateur organization.
