Senator Marco Rubio kicked off his campaign for President this week with an unexpected generational throw down.
"This election is a generational choice about what kind of country we will be," Rubio said Monday night as he kicked off his bid for the White House.
"Just yesterday, a leader from yesterday began a campaign for president by promising to take us back to yesterday," Rubio said. "Yesterday is over -- and we're never going back."
I should be offended as Im quite sure Marcos speech was in addition to being part of the Republican War on Women - an ageist assault on everyone over age 50. So at the risk of showing my hard drives age, I give you this flashback from deep within (yesterdays) rock and roll vault:
I loved you all the summer through
I thought I'd found my dream in you
But that was yesterday and yesterday's gone
We walked together hand in hand
'Cross miles and miles of golden sand
But now it's over and done
'Cause that was yesterday and yesterday's gone
We had such happiness together
I can't believe it's gone forever
Wait 'til summer comes again
I hope that you'll remember when
Our love had just begun
I loved you yesterday and yesterday's gone
We had such happiness together
I can't believe it's gone forever
Wait 'til summer comes again
I hope that you'll remember when
Our love had just begun
I loved you yesterday and yesterday's gone
Yesterday's gone
Yesterday's gone
Yesterday's gone
And on an unrelated note, dont forget that today is High Five Day!

Post of the day!
Of all the depictions, I LOVE the one entitled “This Bitch Again.”
Totally off-topic but I am infamous in our town because I told “Chad and Jeremy” to shut up and sing at one of their concerts.
It was right before the 2012 election. I took my mom to see C&J as part of a concert series that was being put on by a friend of mine.
C&J started out a bit uneven and didn’t seem particularly focused but (what the hey!) we’re all getting that way to one degree or another. And then one of them started in on politics and how important it was NOT to elect this monster Romney. I was taken aback but, again I cut him some slack.
But he droned on and on and slobbered over Øbozo and finally I said (in a ever so slightly raised voice, “Shut up and sing!”
I got a few claps of applause and then the lefties started in tsk-tsking and whining. But I stopped the bass turd in mid-sentence and completely flummoxed him. They resumed the show but I could tell by his mistakes that I had gotten under his skin.
My mom and I made a point of getting up and leaving early and, once outside I apologized to her for embarrassing her. She brushed it off and said, “They were the embarrassing ones”.
Good for you. Nice action on your part.
I remember hearing that Madonna pulled this crap at a concert of hers before the 2012 election.
Madonna was urging everyone to vote, but then she said, they better f***n vote for Obama.
Nice public service announcement from Madonna. (sarcasm). Nice that she added profanity to her exhortation to her audience to vote.
Why do liberal performers do this?? Do they really think that all of their fans are liberal??? Do they care if they alienate fans over mere political differences????
Thanks. I’d do it again in a heartbeat (even if only to have the pleasure of my moms company once again).
