A Review of PolitiFact’s “Obameter:” Outdated Garbage that “Confirms” Patently False Lies

...Today, looking at the chart, there are many more “promises kept” than there are “promises broken.” Yet anyone who has been paying attention over the last few years would surely see that Mr. Obama had broken a tremendous amount of promises.

So why does PolitiFact still have Mr. Obama’s promises kept at nearly twice those broken? I decided to take a look.

The first thing I did was see what promises were considered broken. It’s a fairly hefty list, but some of the very largest are completely missing. The biggest, and most famous, broken promise is that “if you like your doctor, you can keep you doctor.” That was proven irrefutably to be a lie.

According to PolitiFact, that wasn’t a broken promise. In fact, that promise doesn’t exist; it’s no where to be seen on their “promise broken” page.

How about closing Guantanamo Bay? Whether you agree with closing the detention center, there is no argument that President Obama did not follow through on his promise to close it. Well, that’s another promise that doesn’t exist, according to PolitiFact. Apparently, President Obama never promised anything on the subject.

How about saving people an average of $2,500 thanks to ObamaCare? How about not using executive actions? Nope, these promises never happened according to PolitiFact...

Here are a few of the clearly false promises that PolitiFact marked true anyway:

President Obama promising that his Administration will be more transparent than President Bush? Marked as “promise kept.”

Make the VA system more effective? Promise kept.

“We will crush al-Qaida.” Promise kept.

...Increase the size of the army. Promise kept. This is a headline from last year’s New York Times: “Pentagon Plans to Shrink Army to Pre-World War II Level.”

It's simple.

"Promises" that were obvious Joe Suburu lies were not considered actual promises, and were therefore not counted as promises broken.

Has it been updated since the election of 2012? My gut feeling is that most obamabots stopped caring after they got the election.
