In 1762 Irish Catholic soldiers, who were serving in the British Army stationed in New York City, organized the first St. Patricks Day Parade in the City.
They wanted to celebrate the life of St. Patrick and show their gratitude for his having brought the Catholic Faith to Ireland. From its very beginning, the parade was a religious celebration that included attendance at mass receiving Holy Communion and prayerful contemplation of the gift St. Patrick had given the Irish.
Over the centuries since 1762 the parade has become a major event in the lives of many people. Those who are not Irish Catholics have always been welcome to join the parade or watch it unfold, but they have always been asked to respect the religious purpose of the parade.
The Irish are a generous race of people. We will share what we have down to the last morsel. Nevertheless, what we do not own we cannot share. We Irish do not own the right to degrade a religious observance to satisfy anyones idea of how the St. Patricks Day Parade must be conducted. The parade is either a religious celebration of the contributions of a major Catholic saint; or it is nothing more than an Irish Day celebration. We adherent Catholics must be the ones to decide the nature of our own parade.

Oldpuppymax, I even pinged you on the earlier post - check your pings before posting.
Just call it Homo Day and be done with it.
Mardi Gras in the Big Apple
When you erase a peoples’ history, traditions, and culture, you erase the people.
That’s what the left is trying to do.
Refuse to be erased, and take back our traditions, heritage, culture at every opportunity by pointing out the bullsh*t when you see it, to all who will listen.
Silence is consent.
We had been warned... Michelle O said that we must change our culture, our language, our history. It’s happening right before our eyes. They are changing us, and more brazen about it with each passing day.
St. Patrick’s Day is no longer even “Irish Day”, it is now “How much beer and whiskey can you drink day” - so sad.
Shibumi was right. The only thing he does is start threads. He never comments on any.
I’m guessing he’s attempting to attain a personal goal of Most Threads Started or something, and if that is his only reason for being here then he should be spending his time on a personal blog and not wasting bandwidth here.

Snake sighting in Dublin.
A Parade that now embraces deviancy and perversion, in a city run by a Marxist piece of filth. As someone with a fair bit of Irish ancestry in me, I now spit on the Parade and all its participants.
Maybe old maxipad can learn to search, or even quit pimping that stupid blog.
The old “puke on the LIRR parade.”
I never understood the queers and the irish parade.
Thats what the left is trying to do.
Only for certain peoples...
Of course.
Some of us push back... and teach our children well.
