Real American Values

I want my Boy’s Life Magazine life returned to me.

It was like this:

I’m eight. I can go out and play unescorted by armed guards. There are no, “social drugs,” mass-murderers, drive-by shootings, open obscenity, or backpacking “folks from other lands.” I can play unsupervised all day and into the night without fear of monsters among us.

My neighbors watch over me.

What we have now—is that progress?

No. It’s the designed collapse of a Nation and it’s mores, images, ethics, heroes, and guiding compasses—and the parasitic rise of ugly, many-tentacled Liberalism.

I want my U.S. Constitution back.

I want civility and informed intelligence back in this society…if it can still be called that, a “society.” I want failed “multi-culturalsim” dead and gone.

The so-called “main stream media,” and Hollywood, and cable TV shows, and government so-called “schools” (indoctrination camps) shred all of our past. They seek out and desroy every single facet and stem of our noble, beautiful images and traditions, our sacred mores, eternal principles, and the American Way to Be.

I want America back.

The Founders seem to have had more intelligence, erudition, and wisdom in their toenail than ANY politician of today.

The sole reason for the existence of a politician is for s/he to get themselves re-elected. A politician is not a leader.

A leader would be a sacred Hunter-Hero explorer out of our ancient myths of how to be and how to use our time here, being alive. Mythology answers the question of what should we do with our lives?

People like Boudica, Crockett, Travis, Houston, Boone, Molly Pitcher, Carson, Bridger, Lewis, Clarke, and many, many more show the way through the power and beauty of Myth.

Myths have power. The power of myth is power. You can’t change a grand myth and should not try. The ancient Norse god Thor is not a woman. Superman is not conflicted; the Flash is not gay; James Bond is not an “African-American.”

True, identical myths are fused to the DNA of every person and culture on Earth—in all Ages and all Times—everywhere. It’s always the same “gods, demons, and angels;” they just have different names.

Creation is telling us how to Be. Or how to not be.

Look to the ancient myths to learn freedom, liberty, personal fulfillment, and the Way of Action.

Do something to try to hold back the creeping evil of so-called “Progressive Liberalism.”

Do it now.

I have often wondered... If color, race, etc., doesn’t matter, why the constant push to change all of these, at the expense of culture?

And... If Christianity was a minor religion, with its emphasis on forgiveness, grace, and gentle persuasion, wouldn’t it be the obvious choice of reactionary millenials?

Vast, envious, and evil intelligences have learned to twist, manipulate, and rewire all of the common sense Humanity you have mentioned. They are using our own inborn humanity to cajole, frighten, punish, and enslave us all. It’s Liberalism at it’s absolute , viscious, evil worst.

In the picture you put up, odds are “colored” folk aren’t allowed at the same restaurant as this family, schools are separate but “equal” marginal tax rates are around 90%, the constant threat of Communism, the USSR hangs over their head, nuclear testing is taking place above ground in the desert, inflation is starting to reach double digits, the wife is unable to work and must obey her husband (while she bangs the mail man during the day), and the 21 year old nephew of the father in this picture is fighting a useless war in Korea.

Yea, please give me my 1950s American back

We used to get Boy’s Life in the early ‘60’s. I remember a serial with an alien character named Kai.

I still have my late early to mid ‘90s boys life.

My best friend and I attempted to make a moped from a design it had in it in 1995.

If anything, I should post how great my eight year childhood was (at the end of the Reagan era and dawn of the Herbert Walker era)

As President Reagan said, and it still sticks to me “America’s best days are ahead”

I remember stories about boys’ lives and columns, like Smokey Yunis (sp?), “Say Smokey,” about fixing things

I still like the 50s better.

The racial stuff you mentioned was regional and I don’t know any women who obeyed their husbands.

People took responsibility for their own actions, teenagers didn’t have “rights” and fling that fact in adults’ faces, most public schools were excellent, and you didn’t get in trouble with the law if you let your 8 year old go to the store alone.

I believe that, statistically speaking, the danger of an American child being abducted and/or abused was GREATER in the last century than it is now.

The appearance that things have worsened is due largely to greater reporting.

No idea.

But the nonsense of “I want my Constitution back!” and “I want my America back!” is absurd.

An American that flagrantly violated the Constitution with states ignoring the 15th amendment, and having confiscatory tax rates reaching 90% for some income levels and setting the stage for the disasters of the ‘60s and ‘70s

I’ll take my childhood of the ‘80s any day over the nonsense of the ‘50s

The racial stuff was half the country in the south.

My dad was an immigrant who came to this country in the early 1960s, worked his ass off and made a living for my family. His best years were the Reagan years, by far, and into the early Clinton years.

The 1950s nostalgia is one of the more ridiculous things conservatives have, I simply do not understand it.

A nation where gov’t was expanding, taxes were incredibly high and the communist threat real, while half the country was violating the 15th amendment.

The Founders seem to have had more intelligence, erudition, and wisdom in their toenail than ANY politician of today.

You can easily tell which politician is closest to our Founders by how voraciously the leftists go after them.

(ie. Palin and Cruz for starters.)

Because you don’t understand it,it’s ridiculous???????

Couldn’t have been too bad here if your Dad decided to immigrate.

If the ‘50s were so great we wouldn’t have needed a Reagan in the 1980s.

When half the country had different laws for citizens because they were “colored” that is a nation I am glad I wasn’t around to see

You’ve answered my unspoken question: an MTV baby. You know NOTHING of the 1950s. And the views you spout (playback) are unfounded, untrue, and unAmerican.
