February: Annual White America Sucks Month

Bashing white America and stirring the pot of racial discord has become in vogue all year round. But every February, the usual suspects (race profiteers and America haters) use Black History Month to double down on their rhetoric. Their operatives who control our public schools lay guilt trips on white students for being white while teaching blacks kids to feel victimized and resentful.

White America is once again beat over the head with slavery as liberals argue the need for federal government payback (reparations). In a nutshell, the Left's annual message is America is still racist and owes blacks, big time.

The Left's approach to Black History Month is to celebrate black achievement from a divisive “blacks vs white America” point of view; insidiously leaving out the contributions of whites from black success stories. Their desire is to create the illusion that these blacks succeeded “in spite of” racist white America burning the midnight oil plotting ways to keep them down. Clearly, the Left's intention is not to unite Americans nor to heal the racial divide which has grown exponentially under Obama.

I first remember back in '76 or '77, seeing Black History Month posters displayed on my Army unit's hallway walls, while stationed in Germany.

I also remember that relationships with Black soldiers was Much better 35+ years ago then they are today.

Thank you President "Uniter".

I have to wonder how we got to this point.

The whole idea of Negro History Week, which evolved into Black History Month, was to engender black pride, pride in achievements of blacks. Which given the tenor of the times decades ago, may not have been such a bad thing.

But nowadays, it seems we have morphed into an era of white guilt, burnished by black resentments about past grievances. And incorrect notions that these grievances still exist today. Jim Crow was buried decades ago, but we still hear race baiters talking about it. Slavery was abolished in 1865, yet we hear how blacks are still crippled due to the legacy of slavery. Where did this come from? We didn’t hear about reparations for slavery during the civil rights movement. Decades after that movement gave equal rights to blacks in all ways, agitators for some reason decided that we should talk about that subject, because apparently there is a perception that blacks still don’t have equal rights.

I would agree to reparations as long as the recipient agreed to leave the US and never come back.

I use black history month as a means of promoting patriotism among blacks.

While the left uses it to promote division and resentment, I use it to promote men like Salem Poor. Poor was a free black man and minuteman who fought in the battle of Bunker hill (Breeds hill). Poor received a commendation from the provincial congress due to the fact that 14 other militia leaders wrote to congress to tell of Poor’s bravery and leadership.

Salem Poor is often called a “former slave” but I’m not sure that’s quite accurate. Poor bought his freedom for 26 pounds which was the equivalent of an average year’s pay in the 1770s. It suggests that Poor was actually an indentured servant and was free to earn his own money on the side.

In public schools, Black History Month corresponds with an increase in racial violence perpetrated by blacks against non blacks.

I saw it myself when I worked in public schools in Texas.

I had a guy in my platoon that would hold up his fist in the “black power” stance and yell “Black History Month!” when I would dismiss the platoon.

I also had two other blacks that were talking while we were cleaning weapons. One called the other the “N” word and I laid into him about it. He said it was ok because he was black. I told him that it wasn’t ok for anyone regardless of their race. He pushed the issue so I told him that if the CO said it was ok then he could do it. The CO said it was not to be said by anyone in the unit.

The use of the “N” word was in 1995 and the “fist” was 2008.

LOL! Yup. Except I must suck year round based on my ideals and principles. You know, like working your butt of for 30+ years so you can have some sort of life once you get into your 60’s. Weird I know. And not being offended when somebody calls you a hard worker. Butt then I guess somebody needs “validation” in some form to feel like they don’t suck.
