Common Core Report Cards Now Grading Children on "Sensitivity to Others"

Common Core-aligned report cards are now grading students based on their “sensitivity to others,” as well as “grit” and “gratitude” across California.

Instead of having standard grades based on students’ proficiency in classes alone, these “detailed reports” now report whether students are sensitive and assigns them a grade.

At Harry Dewey Fundamental Elementary School, for grit, gratitude, and sensitivity toward others, students will now receive one of four possible grades: “A for almost always, O for often, S for sometimes, and R for rarely.” Other districts, such as Sacramento City Unified, have a similar grading scheme, but is a scale that runs from “outstanding” to “needs improvement.”

I think my Kindergarten report card had something similar. I seem to remember scoring either “Very Satisfactory” or “Excellent”.

I had "plays well with others," but you can't "play" anymore at school.

Common Core.
Taking the lead in preparing America’s children for the future.

As waiters, busboys and hamburger flippers.

It used to be “plays well with others.” To gauge a child’s social skills for the most part.

“Sensitivity to others?” That’s faggoty crap. Pretty much reflecting what America has become, a nation of pajama-boy homos.

I’m guessing SBD’s in class aren’t quite the sport they were back in the 70’s...

We were graded on “citizenship” back in the 60’s. Sensitivity to others would have been part of that evaluation. Now, if only God could get some sensitivity training. He says, “You shall have no other gods before Me.” How insensitive!

I’d be OK with this is some of the categories were “Takes Responsibility” and “Doesn’t Make Excuses or Look to Blame Others” and “Is Self-Sufficient” and “Hard Worker”.

Hillary’s book; It Takes a Village outs her as the communist she is and Common Core and the MSM / government propaganda machines are communism at it’s best. Any US politician that spews pro common core teaching is a communist and needs to be removed from office, post haste. Rule one if you love the America we were handed and our Constitution; never vote for or support a communist.

Same here. My Filipino friend is finally taking his daughter out of school and sending her to the Philippines. The stories he gave me were laughable but true. The sensitivity’ crap? That’s true.

When they’re even supposed to answer a question from the teacher, they are REQUIRED to sit down (not stand up) so as “not to offend the other classmates who don’t know”.

Seriously. My bud is old school and at least in the Phil, they aren’t pc..

They could use this to fight against “white privilege” since the grades are just made up

We had things like....Is attentive....Contributes

Of course, now, any answer to the above is a disease and requires consuling (sp), pills and therapy for life.

My friends grandson just went through the autism cr**. He was 4. The teachers and their consultants said definitely. Sent him to "autism camp".

Autistic...well, now the "experts have decided "no"....we made a mistake.

That’s not part of Common Core. That’s leftists within the school system incorporating THEIR OWN desired qualifiers/scoring into student assessments.

Can’t have a citizenship grade when the schools are full of non-citizens.
