Oxford University Press bans pigs from children’s books, so here’s Porky Pig reciting the Pledge of Allegiance
Oxford University Press is the largest university press in the world.
The Telegraph reports:
The Oxford University Press has warned its writers not to mention pigs, sausages or pork-related words in children’s books, in an apparent bid to avoid offending Jews and Muslims.
Jews?
Im Jewish, and I have neither been offended, nor heard of any Jew claiming to be offended, by pigs being mentioned in literature.
On the contrary, I grew up with this stuff, and I love it.
Here’s “Piggies” by the Beatles:

Here’s someone singing “This Little Piggie.”

After Dr. Suess died, Jesse Jackson read “Green Eggs and Ham” on Saturday Night Live:

Here’s Porky Pig reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, from the 1939 Warner Bros. animated short “Old Glory.” This is from before the words “under God” were added, and before Alaska and Hawaii became U.S. states:

What about dogs? Muzzies hate dogs worse than pigs. Is Oxford so culturally tone deaf they are still allowing dogs in children’s books. How Islamophobic!

The moslems will get rid of pigs in literature when pigs fly..

They want to banish
Animal Farm, or anything by Orwell (a Socialist who not only left the reservation, but told the world what Socialism really is).
By banning "pigs", they ban the book.
Watch for a coming blanket-ban like this, which catches 1984 in the net.
Remember the Communist Goals? "Get control of book reviews and publishers..."

This is to make the neckslicers feel welcome.
Britain has chosen to eliminate itself and is making that happen rapidly.

I heard this on KPIG (old hippie radio station from Santa Cruz) over the weekend:
It’s got two kinds of pig meat, ham and roast pork, and a slice of white cheese in the shape of New York, so throw on a pickle and pick up your fork, say “el Cubano,” that’s a Cuban sandwich.

I was going to send my maniscript ‘1,000,000,000,000,000 ways to use bacon, pork and pigs for non Muslims’ to Oxford Press. I guess they don’t want to make money.

The OUP prints children’s Bibles..
Several mentions of pig and pigs in there both in the OT and the NT..
Is this just against the Christian Bible ???

I think a children’s book about Muslim extremism needs to be made using pigs as the terrorist.

Next they will ban Dogs too. This must stop—why bend over backwards for a tiny minority? Do they really have that much power? Should we ban all meat because of Vegans? I bet we have more Vegans in American than Islamic followers. Should we ban all horseback riders because of PETA? This is just Liberal nonsense.
To: grundle
They added the “Jews” to the Muslims in order to make it look like this is a reasonable request. It is humorous that the poster is Jewish and thinks it is all a joke, as he loved the kids’ story books with piggies.
Hmmm. I wonder what Ms Piggy will have to say about this. Is this discrimination against the Muppets?
