This is a preview of a speech Governor Bobby Jindal will deliver tomorrow In London before the Henry Jackson Society. Among other topics, he will echo Al Sissi's position that it is the responsibility of Islamic religious leaders to reform Islam. But, who really believes this will happen?. My observation on this position is that it is not possible because the Quran forbids change under penalty of death. It is an inviolable directive to followers. Therefore, no reformation is possible.

Islam rejects reason, which Christianity (except for a few biblical literalists) never has, so this won’t happen. But I love the fact that he’s going to say it.

If he runs for President, I’d not only vote for him but work for his campaign. He and Scott Walker are my favorites.

Very brave of him to go to a Muslim country to do it.

One of the most prominent examples in our day is ISIS and all forms of radical Islam.
These people have no legitimate claim, they have no justification for their cowardly, barbaric, and inhuman behavior, and we must not pretend otherwise.

Another politician who will be credited with making a great speech but just can't say it is the religion itself (Islam)that is the problem.

It is fundamental Islam that is the basis of the problem.

They are not radicals and have a legitimate claim for their actions because they are following Islam as written in the Koran and the examples set by Muhammed in the Hadiths.

It is Jindal that is pretending otherwise. -Tom

Is Jindal bucking for a ‘hate crimes’ charge because if his speech is dead serious and has any meat in it that’s what you get in the UK when you “expose the truth” regarding Islam as many people see it?

OR IS THIS JUST A POLITICAL NOISEMAKING SPEECH SO JINDAL CAN SPLIT OFF SUPPORT OF TED CRUZ FOR PRESIDENT?????

I already notice the modifier “radical Islam” in this article.

A POLITICAL SMELL TO THIS......

Governor Jindal's speech is, perhaps, the most significant foreign policy speech by a prominent American since Ronald Reagan.

Jindal understands what America is; he understands the vital importance of freedom, security and truth.

I fear that few in the US will be exposed to his words.

But this is an important speech.

It also probably means that he's running for President. And he just became a formidable contender.
