Bureaucracy Keeps Doing Its Thing
20 Committee ^ | December 30, 2014 | The XX Committee

On the weekend, The New York Times ran an interesting story about how U.S. Army Major General Michael Nagata, the commander of our Special Operations Forces (SOF) in the Middle East, has been reaching out to experts far beyond the Pentagon, the Intelligence Community (IC), and the U.S. Government altogether, to better understand what drives the Islamic State. Since that war is clearly not going very well, and MG Nagata’s elite forces form the point of the spear there, listening to alternative voices is always commendable. As NYT noted:

Business professors, for example, are examining the Islamic State’s marketing and branding strategies. “We do not understand the movement, and until we do, we are not going to defeat it,” [Nagata] said, according to the confidential minutes of a conference call he held with the experts. “We have not defeated the idea. We do not even understand the idea.”

Who is we, General? This is not to pick on Nagata, whom I’ve never met but who possesses a fine reputation in the snake-eater community, but in the more than thirteen years since the 9/11 attacks on New York and Washington, DC, the Pentagon and the IC have spent shocking sums of money trying to understand the enemy, what is properly termed Salafi jihadism. They have consulted experts, inside and outside the Beltway, constantly, for years, hiring them for every imaginable sort of briefing, roundtable, seminar, and professorial BS-session.

Maybe they ought to talk to some old Green Beanie Master Sergeant, or some old S.E.A.L Master Chief instead of these ex-spurts.

Save time and money, and get the straight poop fast.

Or maybe General Nagata could... oh, I don’t know... Read the Qur’an and the hadiths?
Everything he needs to understand about ISIS is contained therein.

Convince Islamic State that they need extreme centralized control by powerful bureaucrats to ensure the purity of their Islamic Vision.

That’ll kill ‘em.

(article):"... (specialists)to better understand what drives the Islamic State."

Simple Understanding :Every Muslum is supposed to perform jihad.
In Jihad ,Kill all non-believers for world domination
Death in jihad gives you 72 virgins in the afterlife
Marriage lasts as long as convienient; then either divorce or cut off her head.
All women are considered 'property'.

Fighting Jihad: Death by a woman combatant is eternal damnation in the afterlife; use women combatants.
The anti-jahad flag should be a well endowed bra ; the jihadist would rather risk fighting elsewhere and will retreat rather than risk embarassment or eternal damnation.
Take a lesson from the British : pork products are forbidden and are not halal (coat the bullets with pork fat).
Assaults on ISIS frontlines should be preceeded by herds of feral pigs.

(title):"Bureaucracy Keeps Doing Its Thing "

The first thing to fighting ISIS is to eliminate the bureaucracy
Bureaucracy by its very definition is a committee designed to perpetuate itself , 'Ad nauseam' .
Taxpayers paying for this stupidity ... Bazzingah !

Why is it hard to understand?

Loot, money, sex and a perverted religion drives ISIS.

Join ISIS and you will get paid, get to loot, and acquire sex slaves. If you are killed you go to Paradise, where, again, you will be reward with sex slaves.

Fighting this would require us to not be politically correct so it is not possible in the current environment. You would have to ridicule and demonize lslam, and declare all members of ISIS to be war criminals, subject to a quick court martial and execution.

Reference Col. Rodgers of the 6th Cavalry in the Moro uprising- who was reputed to have done this and more to the dead Moros, buried with pigs, and shot with Krag rounds dipped in pig fat. This made it around and shut down the sectors uprisings where Rodgers was in control.

It was reputed to Gen. Pershing but not verified. But it also was done by the russkies in Afghan during their “action”.

An excellent expose— not a ten year war but a war of ten- one year tours of duty of the command staff who don’t know shiite when they get there and leave pretty much the same. Why we have been in Afghan for over 15 years now, with little result.

Why the “drone” kills of the id’d leaders is thought to be a “win” in “getting the job done” when all it creates is more junior leaders.

Kicking the can in the war on terror, just like the financial disaster that will happen and give these muzzies the upper hand in an 8th Century created world.

All the “experts” you discussed, except for a very small minority, all started their briefings with the FACT that Islam was a religion of Peace, and the Jihadists were a small subsection.

The small minority of experts, of which I was one, showed the violent history of Islam and its practitioners, and that only the means of beating the enemy was to scare them so fully, that their own leaders would keep them from attacking.

(I was one of the Ft Huachuca MTT Islam and Arab Culture trainers in 2002-2003. I left the position after multiple arguments and security clearance problems with the other Islamic experts they hired.”)
