Until we get rid of the race baiters, the virus will continue to destroy lives that would otherwise be rich and full and successful
In 1984, I lived in North Philadelphia. At that time (I have not been back for several years, so I cant speak of the areas current status), the area was almost entirely populated by black and Hispanic residents. Im white, by the way, and there were literally weeks that went by when I didnt see another white person in my neighborhood.
I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I had a few Hispanic, Native American, and black friends growing up, although I didnt think of them that way. Mario Hernandez was simply my friend, just like Johnny Hansen and Rusty Green were my friends. This in my view is a good thing, but its not a good thing for those who want to perpetuate racial strife in this country. More on this in a bit.

Ferguson proves that the old, beat-up race card has once and for all has been DECLINED.
Wish it were true. On,y time will tell.
White America decided that they’d made the final payment on their Race Card when they voted to elect the Affirmative Action President.
Sorry, that’s as far as we go.
If the nation goes Ferguson, the inner cities will be 99.9% black, the rural areas, where the food is grown and the interstates abide, will be 99.9% white. And politicians will fear God and the voters more than they love sex with 12 year old little boys and girls, money and power.
Rather now, that card is not good and the reason for the decline.
Wait until the officers acquittal.
Racist Democrats — perpetuating the cycle of racism for a new generation.
I've seen most of these. "Glory" was pretty good. The rest of them were pop culture junk. "Tuskegee Airmen", especially. Embarassingly bad.
In fact, I've no idea why - with a double handful of exceptions - anyone would list *any* Hollywood movie as a solid historical account of anything, for any reason.
Perhaps the person quoted should pick up a book and read, rather than get their history in inaccurate 2 hour chunks that are heavily edited for content.
Anyone with a race card identifies themselves in a not good way.
For context, my first year in college was 1968. I remember feeling sorry for poor blacks etc. and thinking they should be given all these breaks. Parents - although they seemed more live and let live than racists - were not convinced that all those Great Society, AA type programs were the way to go.
Just 15 years later - WAY before Trayvon, Ferguson etc. - I thought “cr*p, they’re worse than ever and still demanding more - screw ‘em.”
Sorry, your race card is overdrawn.
Good, but how many other Americans will shed their White Guilt?
(I don’t have any)
I never had any to shed.
I thought Tuskegee Airmen was pretty good. At least for an HBO produced movie of that era (well before Band of Brothers).
It was George Lucas’s “Red Tails” that sucked.
“If the nation goes Ferguson...”
The liberal hoped for divide will happen just as you say, if the liberal agenda plays out (goes Ferguson). It won’t though, because the normal God fearing black people know that Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown were thugs. They know it in their hearts and they are decent people.
Al Sharpton’s credibility ought to be zero. Who the heck is propping him up anymore? I lived in Orange County,New York when he built his reputation on the Tawana Brawley lies.
Ben Carson please run for president! - code blue for the country!
This isn’t about race. It’s about law and order. The citizens of Ferguson supported race over law and order. Let them police themselves.
The problem that I see here is that the movement is towards apathy rather than active resistance to those playing the race card.
Apathy = silence. Silence = assent.
Until those playing the race card are punished, politically, for injecting such toxicity and divisiveness, it’s still going to get played and in many cases will work.
