Yes I know! Loving parents like you have big hearts to adopt a new very deserving dog when you are ready.

I’m sorry for your loss. Australian Shepherds are fun dogs. Our son and his wife have a Miniature AS and she is a busy doggie, lol cute though. If yours were like our kids’ AS they would play ball until they dropped.

It sounds like your doggie girls had long and happy lives. They and you were blessed.

I’ll pray for all of you. What a great, great friend you were to your dog...that love was appreciated. I truly believe you’ll see her again one day.

That same love for our dogs or loved ones is what connects us to heaven and eternity. That love is timeless and reaches far passed this earth.
Whoever coined the phrase " Man's best friend " got it right the first time.

Your dog was no doubt disappointed in your spelling. It’s Sydney with TWO y’s.

Jerks like you give us a bad name for geography.

Thank you. I was just waiting for “that guy” to come on and say “I’m sorry to tell you but dogs don’t go to heaven”.

It couldn’t be heaven without dogs! There are countless animals in heaven. God wouldn’t have it any other way!

So sorry for your loss and I appreciate that you cared for your dog despite her serious illness. My dog died earlier this year and we had to deal with his diabetes for the last three years. But when you love your dog, it’s never a burden to take good care of them.

Australian Shepard’s are wonderful dogs.

The only problem is they are too smart for their own good and are very mischievous.

If that doesn’t bother you, go for it.

They have wonderful personalities.

If I had to do it all over again. I would make dogs live longer.

You have my most heartfelt sympathies. I know exactly how you feel.

I lost my kitty a couple of years ago. I was blessed to have her for 20 years. She helped raise my daughters and provided many moments of comfort during a long unhappy marriage.

Having had more than forty dogs, and forty cats since we’ve been married we certainly know your grief. Appears Sydney was a major part of your family life for those fifteen plus years.

It’s hard to lose such a loved one especially when you have to participate in its demise regardless it was the best thing you could do for her. We’ve had to do so many times the past thirty-six years, and recently had to put our Akita/Shepard “Carrie” down for the exact same reasons you posted. She too was fifteen years.

We believe it best to get another good dog to replace her as soon as you can. The new dog will assist the family recover, and carry on.

Prayers for you all, and all the best wishes for the future.
