The city of St. Louis has been experiencing high levels of violence and riots over the last few days due to the death of a young black man at the hands of police officers.
Liberals in the media and culture at large have wasted no time playing the race card, politicizing the tragedy and further agitating people, leading to a continuation of the violence.
One of the most famous race baiters on the scene, Rev. Al Sharpton, has stuck his nose in the matter, calling for “justice,” while the family of the deceased young man wants everyone to stop the violence and give them time to mourn their loss.
While liberal media is continuing to stir the pot, there are plenty of common sense folk in the area who are voicing their opinion about the shooting and rioting thanks to the power of the Internet.
According to Top Right News, another young black man posted a video to YouTube containing a message for the black community and rioters, challenging them to stop blaming police and white people and start taking responsibility for their own actions. This is epic.
Awesome. This young man is absolutely right. Regardless of color, every person in the country needs to learn to take responsibility for themselves and the actions they take.
It’s a tragedy that a young man, regardless of his skin color, has had his life rubbed out. This should be the focus here, that a family has lost a child due to poor decision making.
A tragedy of this magnitude should serve as a cautionary tale about the consequences that come with the choices and decisions that are made on a daily basis, not the color of a person’s skin.
Dr. Ben Carson said it best when he said America needs to stop placing a strong emphasis on race, and should be focusing on the content of a person’s character.

If these individuals were really seeking redress of grievances against the government, they would storm the police station, or city hall, or some such.
Looting Wal*Mart pretty much condemns them as worthless scumbags who just want to riot and steal and burn.
Those Roof Koreans were impressive. People were cheering for them... The police had already left there area - or were afraid to go in - and there’s the Koreans - armed and ready. Great moment..

"We shall overcome" doesn't mean overcoming "The Man" the same way it used to.
It's a process that began with real chains and bars sanctioned by "The Man" and enforced by law.
Those physical chains were thrown off, but The Man kept the bars in place with segregation and the nonsense of separate, non-equal access.
Once again, like with the physical chains, the bars of segregation were also overcome, yet here we still are. Why?
Because now "we shall overcome" means overcoming decades of The Man's bad mental and emotional programming, such as with the subtle slavery of Affirmative Action.
Today chains and bars are historical and invisible, seen only by the "oppressed" when they need justification for their failures and, sadly, it is easy to find.
There is nothing physically wrong with black America, obviously, it's just bad programming.

Locked up, perhaps literally, and stuck in place, overcoming nothing until the programming is changed.
