The city of St. Louis has been experiencing high levels of violence and riots over the last few days due to the death of a young black man at the hands of police officers.
Liberals in the media and culture at large have wasted no time playing the race card, politicizing the tragedy and further agitating people, leading to a continuation of the violence.
One of the most famous race baiters on the scene, Rev. Al Sharpton, has stuck his nose in the matter, calling for justice, while the family of the deceased young man wants everyone to stop the violence and give them time to mourn their loss.
While liberal media is continuing to stir the pot, there are plenty of common sense folk in the area who are voicing their opinion about the shooting and rioting thanks to the power of the Internet.
According to Top Right News, another young black man posted a video to YouTube containing a message for the black community and rioters, challenging them to stop blaming police and white people and start taking responsibility for their own actions. This is epic.
Awesome. This young man is absolutely right. Regardless of color, every person in the country needs to learn to take responsibility for themselves and the actions they take.
Its a tragedy that a young man, regardless of his skin color, has had his life rubbed out. This should be the focus here, that a family has lost a child due to poor decision making.
A tragedy of this magnitude should serve as a cautionary tale about the consequences that come with the choices and decisions that are made on a daily basis, not the color of a persons skin.
Dr. Ben Carson said it best when he said America needs to stop placing a strong emphasis on race, and should be focusing on the content of a persons character.
If Obama would give a speech like this and he really meant it ...
What is impressive is that he gave his nearly 7 minute talk with the aid of no cards or script. He has experience speaking extemporaneously, and obviously feels this.
This talk is quite something
“Obama? Change? We’re still waiting on that!” Ouch!
I like where he said his son saw on the TV a girl with a TV in her pants and said something like, “What the heck is that?” Embarrassing is what that is, the dad says. Planet of the Apes 3 right there in real life. Embarrassing as can be for black folks. Like we don’t know how to act like anything but apes. We’re goin’ round in circles, doing the same “Blame everybody else” while all we know how to do is act like apes.
That’s the basic gist of it. I’d say he’s not acting like an ape at all, and I bet there are a LOT of black folks who know better than to act like apes - and it’s a really good time for them to stand up like this man and say they’ve had enough of being misrepresented by the activists and their followers.
Sadly, it’s too late. Money has already changed hands.
Dude makes a a great deal of sense
I hope it continues to be watched. It’s been needed for a long time.
bkmk
Obama? Change? Were still waiting on that!
Not waiting, hoping!
content of a persons character.
Where have I heard that before?
“Dr. Ben Carson said it best when he said America needs to stop placing a strong emphasis on race..”
It isn’t America that is doing this, it is black America - and mostly the black race baiters. The massive majority of whites have moved on and don’t place an emphasis on race, but on character.
Nicely done. Who will listen ? Well, it sounds like at least his kid will, so that’s a start.
Oh no! They got this from Top Right News. Better ban Conservative Tribune for "blog pimping"!
Thank you for the link. This man needs a platform to make his voice heard among many.
You are welcome.
I enjoyed your revised version much better. Much more truthful.
