The trip, which occurred in 1996, begins at Lees Ferry and ends at river-mile 225. The expedition resulted in two publications by the Arizona Geological Survey: OFR-98-17

I did this raft trip when I turned 50. Awesome experience. I think we were on the river 18 days. The river and I became as one - all my clothes were the same color brown as the river. Sand everywhere.
If my health were better I’d do it! It’s pretty much my dream trip. I envy you. As is, there are some interesting but short hikes here in Oregon I can handle. The Newberry National Volcano Park, Crater Lake and the McKenzie lava fields are on our frequent visitor list.
