What is a good PC and Reg Cleaner? They all say they are the best. My PC has gotten as slow as a snail with the sleeping sickness.

Recently I had trouble with a couple of PC's. I used Glary but when the trouble came up one of the things I got pointed to was an issue with the boot defrag.

My PC did exactly what is described in this issue. It is wise to disable "Boot Defrag" in Glary utilities.

Nothing needs cleaning up. I just prefer a fresh install of Winders once a year.

When I used the phrase, "Cleans it all up" I was referring to the OP's question regarding his slow computer. Even though it is a drastic, last resort troubleshooting method, it is a viable option.

None of the programs you installed will be available. None of the simple applications you'd grown accustomed to will be available. None of your picture, video, sound, or documents files will be available. Very clean and very useless.

A full recovery or formatting the hard drive is what most people are trying to avoid because of the enormous time and energy it takes to put everything back the way it was.

I've done this with great success for many years. I wouldn't recommend doing it to a production machine; I only do this on my personal computer.

If all useable data is backed up and one has the software to reinstall everything it would not be "clean and useless". It would be clean and fully functional.

CCleaner in conjunction with Auslogics Registry Cleaner.

Run CCleaner first - then Auslogics. Auslogics cleans out a lot more stuff ...
