This wasn't a case where some dude bought a gun in North Carolina and smuggled it into California to kill three people. This was a case of a wealthy, pampered quasi-homosexual who bought his guns legally in a state with very draconian gun control laws.

Apparently, we have failed to learn that firearms, knives, and automobiles are merely tools. We’ve failed to learn that banning firearms or passing even more laws would not have prevented this.

Turns out he may not have been “jilted so many times” after all. From what I had read in a report yesterday, he was never “jilted” at all. His idea of “jilted” was that he had a sh!t-load of money and drove around in his BMW, and yet women didn’t crawl out from everywhere to throw themselves on him. I’ll bet they find out that there wasn’t a single instance where he approached a girl and was blown off by her. This guy had delusions of grandeur but was completely anti-social.

Translation: What can we milk out of this serious crisis to incrementally destroy the people’s Commonsense Civil Rights?

Here’s the drill:

1). Leftist lunatic goes nuts and does what Leftist lunatics will always do.
2). The National State Media goes into overdrive turning said Leftist lunatic into a hero and complains of ‘easy access to guns’ as though there aren’t already a myriad of draconian laws on the books.
3). National State Media and the Commie – left use the crisis to get what ever they can.
4). Since the new restrictions on the people’s Commonsense Civil Rights do nothing as advertised, the gun grabbers go back to patiently waiting the next serious crisis.
5). At the next serious crisis, the process starts all over again – lather rinse, repeat until the people’s Commonsense Civil Rights are eviscerated.

I think it is fair to ask "have we learned nothing?" because once again, the elephant in the room is that a mass killing was perpetrated by someone on mind-altering prescription medication (Ritalin, in this case, IIRC), which seems to be the common thread in these cases, yet no one seems to want to discuss that.
