What, in hindsight, can be only described as an obtuse and extremely wrong statement, former President Bill Clinton stated in 2013 that the terrorist organization Boko Haram acts out of poverty, not because of religious fever.
Mr. Clinton not only stated that poverty was the cause, but that specifically, Islam and religion could not be blamed in any way.
“You have to somehow bring economic opportunity to the people who don’t have it," Clinton stated. He added, "You have all these political problems — and now violence problems — that appear to be rooted in religious differences and all the rhetoric of the Boko Harams and others. But the truth is the poverty rate in the north is three times of what it is in Lagos."
Clinton would go on to suggest that divvying up natural resources differently in Nigeria and offering Boko Haram jobs could help stop their terrorist attacks and kidnappings.

Boko Haram are just doing what blacks have always been doing: selling each other into slavery. We need to send Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson over there to straighten out these Boko Haram slave dealers.
I would disagree with both statements. Boko Haram , and the majority of Nigeria, is nothing but blood thirsty savages that have devolved into premordial savagery where nothing matters other than their own personal survival.
There's nothing religious (aka radical Islam) about them, it's all about primal satisfaction in killing for the thrill of killing alone............
The worst part of the equation is that they have access to modern day weaponry........If not for that, they would be attacking and killing with spears and knives.....

The fellow who founded Boko Haram was, by all accounts, pretty well-off. He had a couple of luxury cars and a pretty good-sized house from what I recall reading.
Oh....and he was very well-educated, in the Western sense. He spoke English fluently as well as a couple of other languages aside from his own language.
Reminds of Pol Pot; highly educated, spoke Cambodian and French fluently, and went to university in Paris, at a prestigious French university no less. Then comes home and decrees that people who knew so much as how to read were “parasite intellectuals” to be liquidated along with folks who could speak more than one language - that was proof of being influenced by “depraved foreign cultures”.

Because the left doesn’t believe in religion, they fail to see that Muzzies don’t care about poverty. They care about seeing to it that people convert or die.
