In California or New York, that Good Samaritan would have been arrested for brandishing a weapon, possession of a deadly weapon and illegal detainment and would have been subject to civil suit for violating the civil rights of those two young African American boys. Pretty sure that’s how it would have worked out anyways. yep.

The lack of “extraneous” action on his part leads me to suspect that he was possibly an LEO or military combat veteran. Someone who understands what guns are and do, and is quite practiced with them.

My first thought would be veteran, but because once the suspects were arrested, he was given quick clearance to take off suggests an LEO who does not want his face on the front page.

The man who stopped this crime was extremely brave. First for confronting the criminals and knowing that when police pulled up they would put him on the ground as well. I’m glad he wasn’t shot and God bless him.

The people standing by while the good Samaritan holds the perps at gunpoint are doing a good thing. Their presence will go a long way towards preventing the cops from drawing down on the armed good Samaritan.
