A 30-year-old mother is lucky today after the quick-thinking of a stranger helped save her from a mugging.
The mother of two who was dragged across a Texas shopping center parking lot this week, clinging to her purse while two suspects in a sedan tried to snatch it.
That’s when the stranger, who was armed, stopped the would-be thieves and forced them to lie on the ground while they waited for the police to arrive.

A Black man with a gun. That’ll scare libs.
He’s lucky the cops didn’t drive up and shoot him.
That was a large black man with a gun. Good for him.
The people standing by while the good Samaritan holds the perps at gunpoint are doing a good thing. Their presence will go a long way towards preventing the cops from drawing down on the armed good Samaritan.

Maybe where you are, but it’s not true everywhere. I’m a black in Iowa and white reporters report on black crime all the time.
It looks like there was a shot in the video of him on the ground face down. Hell of a situation he found himself in. Lots of bad things could have happened.

Or he might just be a regular Texan.

I think when the cops arrive, everybody gets to eat dirt until they figure out who's the bad guy and who's the good guy.
And word to the wise, if there’s someting going down where the words “gun” “robbery” “knife” “dragged”, “dead” or anything like that might have been said to a 911 operator, just go with the flow, and let anyone in a police uniform know that they are in charge and you are harmless until it all gets sorted out, because that call “a lady got robbed, and they were in a car, and there’s a guy with a gun pointing it around”, raises real red flags.
What would you dom if you had to go check it out? He’s in uniform. He’s getting out of a police car. He’s the boss. And if he isn’t, in ten seconds his even more confused buddies will be showing up.
That’s the nightmare part. Not having to pull a gun on a bad guy...which I guess is bad...but having to hold him at gunpoint while the cops respond to a 911 call about a robbery.
And for the good guy...people here are saying he’s a cop, and I get it, but the odds are he isn’t. I can’t tell if he’s black, white, or whatever, and I don’t care, but I’d sure buy a beer for that guy. Cop or not. Whoever he is-he stepped up and stepped in, and in the end, everyone lived (and the bad guys got locked up), and really that’s the best outcome you can have (Internet bravado not withstanding).
Someone else said that in New York and California, that guy whould be arrested too, and that’s probably true in most of New York (there would be a lot of questions, at least). But, if that was the immage in New York City, every day (I don’t think if could be) NYC Liberals would look at guns differently.
The Good Samaritan is a Black guy.
