She was famously one of the few women that spurned Cary Grant.

Good thing, she might have caught something

She is a living, breathing tribute to talented plastic surgeons. Should be an Oscar category for “best plastic surgery.”
Not taking anything away from Sophia’s good looks and excellent bone structure
she has the whole package. But without help, her face would wrinkle and sag like every other 76-year-old’s.

Well, Olive complexion helps- she sure is going to have less wrinkles than an Irish lady
But the thing with the plastic surgeon was RESTRAINT, the sort that is lacking in that profession today
Other extreme would be Gucci...

I thought long ago that the perfect end to the Columbo series would have included a brief glimpse of the elusive Mrs. Columbo - as a cameo by Sofia Loren.
Imagine instead of Columbo stating the usual “Oh, my wife couldn’t make it...”, Mrs. Columbo actually meets up with her husband in a restaurant, swirling in before unfortunately having to rush off again [to the garden club or wherever]. The men in Columbo’s company drop their jaws and practically trip over themselves to stand at attention, while Columbo remains oblivious to all the fuss, looking over the menu or some such.

That would have been great! Was Mrs. Columbo ever seen in any of the episodes?

Then they would not have been able to make that hit spin-off “Mrs. Columbo” starring Kate Mulgrew...

Well, Olive complexion helps- she sure is going to have less wrinkles than an Irish lady I know that my own mother, with olive skin, had very few wrinkles, or lines, even at 80. And, she never used moisturizer or sun-block (she was tan every summer). Me, I got my father's German skin, very white, and I never tan, just burn.
