How I observed Earth Day:
The teacher in my child’s elementary school instructed her students to wear green and brown clothing today in observance of Earth Day.
I responded with a letter to the teacher telling her stop indoctrinating our children with Left-wing horsepoop. I told her we do not observe phony holidays such as Earth Day and that we strongly believe in energy independence and drilling for more oil. I also asked the teacher to stop making the students write letters to politicians demanding laws requiring stores to stop using plastic bags. I have also complained to the principal about this ceaseless indoctrination.

Sounds like you’ve got your hands full. I had similar problems when my kids were younger only 5 years ago. I did the same thing you’re doing and it worked. Speaking out and being heard as a good parent is a lonely job. Good luck!

If you look at your child’s school calendar, does it have Earth Day listed?
And has it downgraded the official holiday of Christmas to “Winter Break”.
Isn’t Earf day also Karl Marx’s birthday?
I don’t know about my child’s school calender.
But Earth Day is in fact clearly marked in my own personal calender I purchased from American Express.
The school board is a major part of the problem. The school my child attends is part of the LAUSD. Same as if it were be run by the CPUSA.

Remember, this phony, feel good movement was co-founded by Ira Einhorn, yes the same Ira Einhorn who murdered his girlfriend, stuffed her in a trunk and fled to France, eventually being extradited back here to face trial. Where he claimed it was the CIA who killed her (wasn’t it the same CIA who really killed John Lennon?), fortunately the jury didn’t buy it and he’s doing life without parole. Is it me, or is the enviro movement so overwhelmingly White? Oh, sure occasionally an organic farmers market may pop up insome ‘hood, but let’s get real, when was the last time a “Brother” saved a whale? Or a “Sista” expressed concerns about the supposedly melting ice caps? The 0’s? Sure, only because they owe the tree huggers big time. I’ve seen more diversity at a NASCAR race.
